Anyone wondering why Reno has a reduced role, it’s because his Japanese VA passed away during Rebirth’s production. They simply didn’t have enough time to find a new VA so they gave him a smaller role using archived recordings and promised a recast and a larger role in the third game.
@@soralight_x it’s not that bad. Reno didn’t have a major role during this part of the original game anyway except for the Wutai side quest (which has been moved to part 3) and the boss fight in Gongaga (which he’s still a part of). Maybe there were a few extra scenes for him planned but I honestly doubt his role was actually reduced that much.
Elena: Is Reno doing okay? *Meanwhile at the doctor’s office* Doctor: Alright, your testicle started here (points to X-ray of his groin), then it went here (points to his pelvis), here (points off the X-ray print), looped around here (points to his sacrum), and ended up here (points to his toe). Reno: Uh, what about the other one? Doctor: Oh, it's dead.
It's true that in the og ff7 reno appeared less during that period because he was still recovering from his battle with avalanche but I still wished they recasted his voice to make him appear more he seemed so silent and out of character in rebirth compared to remake where he was swearing with so full of energy
Exactly. They basically neutered him and his character. Square Enix did a halfhearted, lazy and unprofessional job and thought we'd be satisfied. Completely disrespectful to the fans. It's a major disappointment.
@@Menace_of_MidgarIt’s not unprofessional to not pick some random VA to fill a role. They didn’t ruin Reno’s character, if anything it makes it more believable he needed a vacation to recover. They did just help unalive (stupid RU-vid) an entire sector of people.
@Menace_of_Midgar They promised a recast in Part 3, but changing the voice of a character instantly while his voice actor dies during development is a petty move. Keiji Fujiwara was not only a loved and very talented voice actor but also a good friend of Tetsuya Nomura (and it makes sense, considering they worked together in the entire Kingdom Hearts series, where he voiced Axel), so Nomura himself stated that replacing him right away would've been disrespectful.
She got way in over her head, thinking her status as a Turk would mean anything to Cloud. She's strong, but Cloud wiped the floor with both Reno and Rude.
In the original game, almost every time we fought the Turks they would always get away and talk as if they had the last laugh. Annoying. 😕 In the Remake series almost every time we fight them, we kick their butts and humiliate them. God, this game is heaven. 🤩
No, those are the resort helicopters that transport people between the Gold Saucer and Costal del Sol and you even see them flying around if you’re in the desert. They all look like that.
seeing turks always get their butts kicked by the main characters are funny but weird at the same time, losing to an ex soldier is understandably but keep losing to the other members?? aren't they supposed to be professional and so good with their job? 😅
@@PerséeLisandro i never said they were Gods and neither Cloud & the others. i also mentioned it's normal if they were always losing to Cloud. Cloud's party have abilities but Turk supposed to have more experience than them, they are also get trained that's why i'm questioning this and it's not even that serious i just find it funny like i mentioned above
@@elbadaernu9902plot armor. That or maybe it’s because the gang is already getting more experience though I feel like making other characters lose just to show how powerful we n players have become is kind of cheap.
First things first, they might lose to us but at the same time they are no easy opponents. I always find myself losing a number of times with the Turks in some of our encounters with them so I would say they are still good at what they do and every time we face them we always end up losing something. Secondly, I just find it very strange when it comes to our power scale. With Midgarsomr, Cloud got almost killed if not for Sephiroth’s intervention, but by the end of Rebirth we are supposed to win against Sephiroth when we have not even reached Northern Crater and we are already this powerful?
There was a Japanese mobile game called Before Crisis where you played as one of the Turks. Unfortunately, Square never gave it an international release.
@@Truealphawolf485 yep, the game is littered with little jabs acknowledging Abridged Avalanche snuggles, the trophy when beating air buster is called "sewer rats" acknowledging the speech about rats and cheese the Shinra president gave them before using air buster The Shinra president on the other side of barret "well, well, well" one of Tifa's folios is called "the way of the fist" (but remember, if the way of the fist calls you deep in the night" hahaha there are a couple more and I love the localization team for that And I pretty much say they lifted Barret and Red xiii buddy cop dynamic beat per beat
It was because surveiling her constantly became much harder and close to impossible once she left Midgar, she also was less of a prioritiy to the Turks now.
@@jass5331 Oh totally, I'm actually really happy happy the new trilogy adds a ton of characterization to Tseng - in OG he was basically an unfeeling, Shinra-abiding asshole, but now we know he greatly cares for Aerith, Zack and his Turks on a personal level. Really hope they build on top of that in Part 3!
Just a Random Question. Are the Organisation 13 in Kingdom Hearts Related to the Turks in FF7 ? Cissney for example has the same Weapon as Axel and the same Movments. And what if when the whole Reunion Thing is Just a big come together with the Kingdom Hearts Series at the End?
They are not related in-game, but all of these characters were designed by Tetsuya Nomura, which is the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, so he probably snuck some KH references here and there. Axel himself in Kingdom Hearts is the only one we know is a direct reference to Reno, since Nomura stated that his idea for Axel was literally "grab Reno, change him a bit, put him in another game, and see what happens".
