You have to play through at least the remake, throw in 6,8,9 and 10 into that mix and you will be sat here with the rest of us tearing up.. or throwing FF7 remake back into the ps4 for another playthrough.
100%, will cry throughout this game. Don’t forget it’s also worth watching the movie, FF7 Advent Children which takes place 2 years after the events of the game 🤘
I remember taking a nap when ff7 remake came on and was downloading. It defaulted to this on the menu and I woke up to this playing and it was so fking surreal.
And to think that this was a song made in the last possible moment, and it was made in 15 minutes. Now this masterpiece is one of THE BEST songs ever made for any Final Fantasy game.
Since the game just released on steam I finally managed to get my hands on this game. And the first thing was just sit at the title screen for a good 15 minutes in total bliss.
there is just something indescribably heroic and epic about it. Like you know form the start you're going to go on an epic journey that'll push you beyond your limits. Fantastic moments awaiting you. All of these feelings composed perfectly into this song. Fantastic work by the composers.
I finally bought the Remake for PC despite the warning of it being not optimized. Yes, it is stuttery at times but hearing Prelude once again for the first time after over 20 years was pretty amazing.
Highschool years.... this song blew up all my burried memories in the first 3 seconds. It's so abrupt, I can't even cry, laugh, or move.. Just a big stab tto the heart.

Why didn’t I ever hear that music? This is one of the most beautiful video game music I’ve heard. The version of FF7 PS1 is just as beautiful. It makes me want to play the game
I don't know why but I'm in a full FFVII World right now. Can't stop playing this game both FFVII OG and Ever Crisis (same for Crisis Core wait for e TFS) . Anyway I have to thanks the Remake because thanks this one i got introduced in the world of Cloud and Co but I wish I would have ever played the OG cause now I know what will happen in Rebirth
Huh. I guess I'm the oddball who prefers the Prelude to stick more to sounding mystical and soft as opposed to louder and more bombastic, because this version is mediocre to my ears.
