Came here literally to say that but you got here 3 years sooner ahaha man kept saying "hack" when it literally is how the game came be played by design. Very annoying
The easiest it to have Squall KO in the party and only level up his friends. This is because the monster and boss levels are based on Squall's level. So you can basically complete the game where all the enemies are at the lowest level.
This is so not true, the monster or boss levels according to your selected party members that are in the battle. You'll find yourself in a rude awakening even if Squall and another party member are at level 8 or starting level but having a 3rd member at level 100 changes the overall level. This will especially be bad for you if you fight against Ultimecia, as She will pick out 3 members of the 6 you have at random to start the fight.
@nicholasong2892 yeah, the level system goes based off your whole party or rather the average of your party's level. It's definitely confusing to say the least and I had to restart a bunch of times after messing things up but I am at the end if the game now and it's definitely a challenging game for sure.
I am not able to get the Zell card for some reason. Zell mom stubborn doesn’t want to play . Is it because I didn’t play with her after the dollet mission?
Na she's just annoying an almost never plays it, that card is super hard to get cause of the game rules in that town and cause she rarely plays it. Normally takes at least a half hour to get out of her
you can also procure squall's 2nd strongest weapon "Punishment" and boom your overpowered as hell. you can decrease leveling by just carding monster so no EXP will gain. and yeah FFVIII is an openworld game that if you exploit it. you can get through the game with a breeze.
Carding doesn't work all the time. Most of the time, carding is way too much trouble than it's worth. Also, in order to get rare items, you need to be over level 30. You can always get max stats from the stat boosting items method or devour method.
@@kevinburke1325 yes bosses and soldiers can't turn into cards but my point is its minimize you EXP gained if you do this method until you can have enc-none ability for diablos. its the Pro FFVIII gaming style its not for everyone whos lazy and just want to play the game just to play it. for the rare items its easy to get if you have tonberry's LV Abilities.
@JoeyJoverAgbayani yeah, you turn on enc none and your seed rank will go down to 1 quickly which is how the game punishes you. That's why I don't turn off battles.
@@kevinburke1325 if you reach seeD rank 30. Its only minimal -10 pts drop. It will not drop to 29 if you are running around. Like i said carding monsters in battle or use enc.none minimize exp gaining. If you want low lvl.game once you have gf stat boosting abilities. Go ahead remove this restriction on your playthtough. And do whatever you want in the game. Didnt say you'll be doing this until endgame.
Thanks! I hope you enjoy the game! I suggest not playing the first go around with the hella strong characters like I showed in this video cause it's kinda boring lol
This is an awful idea. The enemies level with ur characters, so having ur team maxed makes the fights wayy harder. If u keep ur team around lvl 10-15, all the bosses drop in 2-3 attacks
@@arkvoodle38 it's pretty much impossible to keep your characters at low levels. Carding doesn't always work and the game severely punishes you for not doing battles or running away.
As a person who completed FF8 twice with starting level throughout the game. I can safely say that those hacks or tricks you recommended are only going to make your game harder later on. Card modding early meant losing advantage you can get for other cards in triple triads. Especially for those GF or Character cards. You only can get them back at disc 4, only if... you've completed the CC group quest, thus making acquiring other cards or completing card quest a chore with common cards. Spending money early is unnecessary. You only need to fight Ifrit even without any prep or leveling except to just equip your given GF. The real trick or hack is to use Seifer and knockout all your other members during the Dollet mission. The amount you need to kill to get your 1st 3 GF to level 100 with all abilities learned while keeping your starting level intact is the OG hack/trick. It accrued your SeeD level with all points from your kills by Seifer once Dollet mission is done to bring your SeeD rank up to level 25 - 27 once you depart for Timber. Not to mention your level 100 GFs will deal a lot of damage to level 8 monsters on average. With all the abilities you can use from the GF itself without losing a single card. IMO card modding early and buying tent from the start is like spending millions on credit with interest at 20% monthly with a payback period of only six months. It'll kill anyone's motivation early after they realised what they have done.
@@TheDeathOfLucifer Acting like an expert on a 20 year old game when everyone else has covered this stuff and better, mispronouncing words, and using up rare Triple Triad cards in the early game. Triples can be got from Diablos I believe. It's a bit grindy, but a better option than using up your rare cards. Water magic is pretty good for an early strength junction and readily available. The only reason you would need such an overpowered set up is to kill X-ATM092, but you could just spam Zell's limit break and abuse the "armageddon combo."
@@Mr.Haveaword haha, that's good. And I'll just add on a couple things. You CAN win back cards at the end of the game IF you complete the CC group sude quest. But be careful what cards you use or you won't be able to finish the Card Queen quest annd get all cards. The only reason to kill X-ATM092 is to get the 100pt bonus under the Spirit category on the SeeD exam. But the time it takes may detract points from your score. Either way not important. And while the 50AP per fight may seem good, it's just more efficient to wait until after you get the movable Garden and have several more GFs. Then just grind cactuars for 20AP a piece (20-80AP per battle).
Well, he actually pronounced this one right. Well, he pronounced it right according to FF8's character limit. The actual name is Quezalcoatl (Ket-zul ko-ah-tul).
