This section is heavily luck based as well as requiring the correct armor builds. If you have an armor that has enough slots, this can certainly all be done with one armor, but I used two separate armors that I would swap between depending on the fight.
The first battle is the only simple fight, the rest can go wrong in so many ways, especially if enemies tend to focus their attacks on Auron.
This is the first section where First Strike actually becomes integral for beating the rest of the game, as fights are made a lot easier getting the first turn and having the option to overdrive or get a free turn of set up.
Nulblaze is super necessary for these flamethrower guys who can go a ton of damage. This also removes the need to set up shell.
The last fight is pretty damn stupid because of YAT-99 You could get through all of the other fights and still risk YAT-99 doing an attack that kills everyone in your party in one hit, or him targeting Auron. Easily the second, fourth, and fifth fights were the most reset heavy, with the last one being where i reset the most being YAT-99 simply hated me and wanted me to start over and over.
