Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster: Mateus Boss Fight (1080p) 

When FFXII first came out, I thought Mateus was the Mermaid but after reading lore, Mateus is the armor holding the mermaid hostage 😭

I played this battle twice just to see her entrance. Truly mesmerizing esper and my favorite. Did anyone know that the online game aura kingdom has a fan made summon of mate us as an eidolon summon. I Thought it was clever of them.

Mateus used to be my my favorite sumon until I realized that he had a hostage. I mistook her for him until I read his bio in the bestiary. Kinda messed up the goddess was condemned along with Mateus although she was a victim.

i remember back then when i use quickening (to get rid of those anoying ice elemental!) work hard to only get one quickening bar

Why is he switching the party leader to issue commands to other members? Like when ashe is asleep and he's waking her with an item

bruh my party is lvl 24. The mini boss before went down like a fly and 2 minutes I walked in to get one shotted lol

I feels a lot pity by the ice goddess, as she ended assimilated and enslaved by a monster. 4:04 Especially to see her struggling, as if she tried a futile attempt to break free from Mateus's grip.

You could use Nishijin Belt to protect Ashe from Sleep.

if i were you. i would use simple chain quickening to rid the adds first, if you lucky you can beat matheus as well, if not. try to kill the adds. they were annoying as hell , after that you can beat matheus in normal way :D Just have rematch with her in ff14 and it was awesome, but i would prefer if they use esper battle theme song instead ff tactics one :D

lv 35 why so hard haha.. im just lvl 27 and good to go.. you must eq turmoil, and any other cold magick resistance.

The only issues I had was: 1. I forgot to turn Vaan’s stealing gambit off, so he was trying to steal from literally everyone. 2. Whenever my lead party member died, he wasn’t focused on the boss and I didn’t realize it! So my battle took a little longer than it should. Vaan was equipped with the Dawn Shard on top of Shell, so blizzard was doing anything towards us really. Party members were Vaan (Uhlan, Time Battlemage), Ashe (Foebreaker, White Mage), and Basch (Knight, WHITE MAGE). Yes I know, Basch a White Mage?! 😂 Everyone in their mid to upper 20’s! No quickenings used either!

how to beat any boss in this game: just get a good quickening chain going without any thought out strategy and you're good to go.

I hate how every you tuber who plays this game plays on Wait battle mode instead of Active. Noobs, I swear...
