Okay I know it's been years, but I've made progress on where this version came from. It's from the premiere event of FFXIII that took place in Japan in September 2009. The orchestra is Cocoon Symphonics and it was performed live. There's no full version of this arrangement, better yet in such quality. At the event they did sell merch but none of it was CD's so the option of it being ripped from a CD is low. If anyone has any information about the FFXIII Premiere Party please let me know! I'm very curious on finding out where this came from!

This is so strange cause we don't know when or why they have a studio version of this arrangement of the song if it was never "released".
The reason I was so wowed by this video at first was because I remember snippets of the live performance in videos back in 2009, and was crushed when they never released a full version and it was not used in the game. Suddenly, a whole decade later, this just shows up out of nowhere with no explanation! And the earliest I find it is from a nico jp video with no explanation, either!
@@LumieBerries Yup! The video URL at the end is nm11912105 - the description seems to just say "Since no one had uploaded it yet, I uploaded it for the time being. Delivery is limited. If you want high-quality sound, we recommend purchasing the download. We do not plan to re-upload when it is deleted." - so you could purchase it at some point?? It's even more of a mystery!
I first found out about this on soundcloud with a male voice singing (linus) (sounded amazing btw)I had no idea it was from FF. These games have some amazing music.

Andrew Sin honestly I dont know either. I found this song on a random RU-vid video about FFXIII but there were 2 songs in one video and I too search around the internet for this song and couldnt find it. So I just edited the song out of the video and made it here. Honestly surprised that this video havent been taken down yet.
Mmmmmmm. I have to disagree. Nobou uematsu has done a great job with the final fantasy franchise itself. I wouldn't compare two great yet different composers.
@@d0m0lee even without Nobuo there are some great songs in the franchise like the promise, Chocobos of Coccoon, Archylte steppe, Sunleth Waterscape (i prefer the Japanese version), Blinded by Light, Saber's Edge, Lightning's, Wish... Themes from XIII and XIII-2 The clan theme and boss fight from XII, the soundtrack of XV and VII Remake. Nobuo is the best, there's no objection with that, but Masashi Hamauzu and the other composers are good too (you know that in X Nobuo wasn't the only composer)
