Not a perfect run, but good overall with only three deaths (I think.) This was also done on Wii VC as the controls were more responsive then the Wii U VC.
Time starts when I take control of my character (00:23) and ends when Retu is defeated. (31:59) The last hit probably occurred on 31:58, but I had to hit my timer after the last hit.
In regards to speedrunning Final Fight 2, its better to run it under easy or normal modes as higher difficulties reduce the damage of your attacks by nearly half of what it would've been. Easy was chosen for few enemies and most enemies having less health.
Haggar has a lot of high damaging attacks, especially SPD, lariat, suplex, and triple headbutts. Aside from shifting (a.k.a infinites.) memorizing the damage of the attacks and how much damage enemies can take are the keys to optimizing how fast you can defeat enemies. Stacking was problematic due to passive A.I and Haggar's suplex having a big impact zone that would knock enemies farther away unless positioned correctly.
Some barrels and creates weren't destroyed as they can be used to despawn enemies on the next force point; you can also try to throw enemies at certain points to despawn the ones that got hit by the throw, but the passive A.I makes it hard to manipulate them into position.
In closing speedrunning Final Fight 2 requires mostly skill and luck/RNG to achieve faster times since this game has almost no known glitches to take advantage of.
