@Pokéguy I seen both this and the one about 2 minutes long, and I seen the other one first, and I got surprised by him, I totally DIDN'T think he was Arceus, Moon was my first mainline game...
@@Carnictisbasically an organization that Secures, Contains, Protects (hence SCP) anomalies whatever means possible. There's a game, a webpage, and such about it. Interesting honestly
What if that was the intention behind them… Both code names start with an abbreviation followed by a number. Amongst other similarities, including that SCP is American media and that Alola is based on Hawaii.
Well, that's what he did in the anime too. As soon as he meets something, he starts flexing (which they later find out is part of how it communicates).
I love how they make necrozma dramatic and they tease ultra beast in an analogue horror way, and then on twitter teased UB imminent arrival using an EAS system way, it honestly makes people like me who like EAS and analogue horror anticipate the future of pokemon go
same man, I love ARG’s, analog horror, all that and I love these videos so much! my team sucks in pogo though so unless I battle with a few more good people then idk about even battling it 😂
@@silverwolfkai for real, in 2016 when the hype was at its peak, the streets looked like a war zone when something good showed up in private property haha
Jurassic World should take note. This is how you do a video compilation of your creatures being in the “real world” and interacting with people. No annoying music. Short clips where you’re not sure what you’ve seen so you have to watch again and pause. Well done graphics that fit in and look real. I’m hyped!
Actually the coolest Pokémon teaser I’ve ever seen. Really neat concept about how the Pokémon world would react to ultra beasts. It would be like the real life version of seeing Bigfoot or an alien.
100% agreed, this is the direction I'd like a future movie or game to go in, it's just so compelling to imagine where Pokemon can go if it strays from the beaten path. The shorts they've released on youtube have been amazing, and something more realistic like this is so cool to see.
SCP-9973 Object Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9973 is a video produced by Niantic Inc. showcasing a new expansion on thier hit mobile game "Pokemon Go". The video showcases a variety of creatures different from the regular kind of style most Pokemon exhibit called "Ultra Beasts" or "UB"s for short, introduced in earlier iterations of the Pokemon franchise (Pokemon Sun, Pokemon Moon, Pokemon Ultra Sun, and Pokemon Ultra Moon) interacting with people and being spotted on candid mobile device recordings edited to appear menacing or dangerous. The video typically is not anomalous until the very end, where a clip of the Pokemon, Necrozma, regularly should be shown flying in the sky towards the sun and a release date for the upcoming update. For a very few select people who show common symptoms of anxiety and paranoia, this is not the case, as after the segment stating "Ultra Beast, not the end", where after the regular clip would be played, instead a profile image of Necrozma staring at the camera can be seen. Victims of SCP-9973 have been observed or discovered to have developed colorblindness, total blindness, intense halucinations, intermitten comatose states during panic, and [REDACTED]. Video used in this report (see above) is an artistic recreation of said anomalous video, not containing any anomalous effects whatsoever.
@@NoSoyDib fun fact: the yellow dots on the side of blacephalon’s “head” are actually it’s eyes, hence the yellow dots being bigger (and prey animals have their eyes on the side of their heads, so if blacephalon is the prey, who is the predator?)
These videos make me think we need another Pokémon movie in the world of Detective Pikachu about legendary Pokémon, in the style of Godzilla 2014 or Cloverfield
Hot take. The Alola region is the last game there possibly will be with all the functions of the past games. Possibly the best pokemon game of all time.
@@midnights2631 I am replaying it. I wanted to go back to my original file, but it was pretty old so I'm playing Sun again with trying to recreate my team as much as possible using the better knowledge about pokemon I have now (Sun was my first game)
THIS right here is everything I love about the Ultra Beasts! They're all so dang weird and cryptic, yet super expressive all the same! Also WOW Nihilego looks beautiful with a proper glass texture
Bro, I don’t even play Pokémon GO, but this looks amazing. Basing the reveal of ultra beasts off of analog horror was a great choice, huge respect for the person who suggested that. Makes sense considering the fact they’re essentially aliens from deep space. And that final scene with Necrozma is just perfect for hype.
I love this analog horror style! It absolutely fits these unknown (and seemingly impossible to know) creatures that just get more alien the more we figure out.
The small gasp coupled with the girl reaching for Nihilego, feels sooooooo creepy. You could 100% make a horror movie out of Nihilego or some of the other UBs.
Agreed(plus sorry for butchering the names); Nilegio assimilates and poisons into a blind rage Pheromosa can A-Train a person Buzzswole drains someone like a protein shake and then decks the rest Xerkitree is just a friend but shocks everyone around and is rivals with the clown Celestilla just kills many a people by the fuel burning near many a civilian Kartana tries and presumably successfully lopped the person recording inhalf Guzzlord did a ‘GIBBY’ and then probably ate people Stakataka was just admired the scenery but attacked when people were talking about them And Blaceplaon just casually commits colorful terrorism with fireworks and is rivals with the zappy friend
I love how the Pokemon franchise marketing has leaned a lot more into VHS/found footage horror stuff with marketing recently. Like the Hisuian Zoroark and Houndstone reveals, and now this amazing piece of work
Ngl i didnt expected Gamefreak to do this horror so well. It seriously would be awesome if Gamefreak releases a really good horror game at the first april at some point
I love that Pokémon is embracing lost footage styled videos. The only problem, is that not every UC is seen from security cameras. If EVERY uc was captured by a security camera... this video would have been perfect.
what makes it worse than the security camera style? You know, other than the aesthetic of low quality footage. People recording ultra beasts on their phones feels more immersive to me than purely security camera footage, just for the fact that it makes sense for people to immediately react with wanting to document what was happening.
The Lunala one was so good, the way she blinked so smoothly, the way she reacted, it was so good. Solgaleo was quite good, too. They HAVE to be my favorite Pokemon!
As terrifying as this would be IRL, i find it really funny how somewhat harmless a few of these seem compared to others. Also the fact that the Blacephalon scene implies there were multiple in the area.
The first one may look harmless in that video to untrained eyes, but the person recording was about to experience something really dangerous given that the creature has a powerful neurotoxin that takes control of the will of its victims
@luzbel2957 I know, I've seen the anime and played the gamea, but solgaleo just chilling is funnier than it should be. Also, imagine if IRL aliens appeared and the first thing they did was put on a honest to goodness fireworks show, that would be amazing.
This is amazing! I wish every promotion were taken as a chance to create something impressive and entertaining in its own right. These videos try to feel like some confidential found files from the Aether Foundation of witnesses- people pulling out their phones when they see something like we actually do. I love seeing Pokémon stuff given more life like this!
