She didn't force it because at that moment she had time to collect the ball and clear for touch. She then didn't pass it because on close inspection she lost grip of the ball before contact. But at that point she had already made the decision to take contact. The slip didn't help either.

I’ve watched this four times already and found it more exciting than the men’s games, Katelyn Vahakolo has to be a first choice for the ferns, she is a very good player.

Because it's not conclusive it was short. You can't see the ball for the whole time so I don't know how you can be so sure. X Ray vision perhaps.
