The seated speaker is Japanese. This reminds me. In December 2002, as I lay in the ICU of Takanawa Sempo Hospital in Tokyo, I was wheeled out into the bottom of the stair well where up along the twin stairways that rose like a double helix, there were school girls holding hand bells. They played for me. Mozart, Handel, and Bach. Each girl a unique note. The entire stairwell a living musical instrument. What a joy! A prayer and reason to live to enjoy more music, if nothing else!
