I really wish nrg had won at season 5... would’ve made the story even better if they scored in that overtime Edit: After season 8 my opinion has changed. The comeback / revenge story with turbo on their team, winning in Madrid in a game 7 overtime made the story so much better. I like how it went now
Fireburner messed up. After his touch opposite field he no longer has the advantageous position, so he should have rotated back to goal at the post closest to him. GarrettG could have challenged, Fire clear the shot and JSTN has time to get corner boost and then push the counterattack. Instead, Fire turned to try and keep midfield pressure, but he should have realized they lost possession and retreated. Be careful to understand when the play is dead and to just play it safe. Keeping pressure is a good skill, but one must also know when to let up.
@@aban33 it truly was a pressure problem. They attempted to hard to keep up the pressure when they easily could've stayed a little futher back. Also World Title pressure as well.
Dang Landon really set a pre-tense for the future RLCS environment. Before that series there wasn’t much hype in the championship but from season 5 on it’s been super dope
Then immediately after the big win he took a month off which is career suicide on a game like Rocket League, which then led to other professionals to catch up and eventually surpass him. After that he struggled hard to qualify and maintain average tier results. He had become the weakest player on the team and a roster change was made. At this point he was in one of the bottom teams to cut it in RLCS. Shortly after he sharply fell off into RLRS and then immediately fell out of that. I loved marky but damn, his demise happened very quickly :(
@@KingRustee Yeah, he had one of the bigger personalities. He lost motivation, pretty much fell out of love with the game. I remember pro's like miztik and scrub saying that he barely plays, and when he did log into steam, it was to play PUBG. Top players at the time were racking up 100 - 120+ hours every 2 weeks, marky was getting 0. even kuxir would play 24 hours straight, just in freeplay finding the quickest way to the ball. Marky could've came back if he was really dedicated as he was easily one of the smarter players.
I miss og rlcs, and now most og players are retiring like Squishy, Turbo, jstn, and so many more. Also, the gameplay isn't as crazy as it is today and it felt more fresh. Season 1-8 was amazing and the pinnacle of rlcs.
I just realized that through 8 World Series, the same organization hasn’t won it all twice... Same roster twice, but different organizations, GFE and DIG
I think he got that from being a sub for Flipside. He actually subbed in for a day at some point too, and was playing well enough, not as a freestyler, just efficient.
