Several close girlfriends sat in his stall w/ me most of Sunday afternoon taking turns hugging on him and massaging him. Fri and Sat several people that had or hadn't met him came to meet him and hug his neck. Sunday he laid in my lap several times so comforting to both of us. At feeding time at 5p he got up and I was able to hold his bucket of ice water for a good long drink, feed him his senior pellets out of another bucket that I took home to Frisco w/ his remaining pellets SO nobody will ever use his bucket again, and I fed him flakes of hay. I heard Dr Harvey drive up and my stomach sunk-I knew there was no turning back. Dr. Josh blocked his legs so he could walk out of his stall in the barn out to graze on the green grass in front of the arena/barn before we let him pass on to greener grasses. His 29 month battle with founder is over and he awaits me on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge free of pain. Boo was stoic and majestic to his last breath at 6:10 pm Sunday night August 11, 2013.
