For having a limited amount of rehearsal time, a judge's choice song, not one they had performed before, and for having to cut the song down to fit the allotted time, I don't see how anyone could ask anymore from them. It was perfection, best in show. Melodores you have a new fan in Nashville. Kudos to whoever does your arrangements and choreography and to every backup voice for understanding the importance of dynamic. It was just as important for the rest of the group to make us feel what they were doing as it was for the lead. I wish we had competitions like this back in my day. In the 70's in hs & college about the best I could find was singing in madrigals. This is so much more fun. Embrace your time in the sun boys. You deserve it.

Chills the moment the lead started singing. I knew they were gonna win once they got to the refrain. Very smart, very soulful arrangement, and SPECTACULAR lead vocal. I'm so happy for these guys! They are the very first college group to be both entertaining and winning material. They have beaten the odds and made Sing Off history. The best part? They deserve it all. Great job guys :D

This emotional performance reminds me of Pentatonix Dog Days are Over. Goosebumps for me too!

The Exchange were probably the better group overall, but in a short form program a single stand-out moment can steal the victory. Dan from The Melodores had one such moment with his audacious lead on "Church." It was reminiscent of Michael from The Aires on the medley of Queen. Great job Dan, your guys trusted you & your delivered!

WOW!!! this blew me away!! that's a tough song to cover, cause the lyrics are so powerful, it requires actual feeling to sing. they were so incredible! completely deserving of the win.

I have been disappointed with the Sing Off since Season 2. Loved Season 1 and the show just didn't live up to that again until tonight, and only when the Melodores "took me to church!" I loved them, and knew they would win. My goose bumps, Jewel's goose bumps and when she said the judges work for the audience made it absolutely clear they were going to win! So proud to be a Nashvillian!

When they did that power chord at the last amen I couldn't stop smiling. Just beautiful. The bass in this song was perfect the whole way. Awesome arrangement. I love acapella music because it strips down the music to its purest form. Four part harmony. Love it!

I love these guys, and I'm glad they won. I'm disappointed that it was only one night however. I don't understand how something like this can't be more popular while American Idol is on it's 13th(more?) year. I really hope to see a full season air soon..

Never heard of this song before now. After hearing this awesome performance I wanted to hear the original. This one is way way better.

This is such a strong performance! I love it! It's right up there with Pentatonix when they slayed so many songs on this show! And Patrick Stump is judging! My favorite leads seem to be the "littlest guy with the biggest voice" (Mitch is the biggest voice in ptx, IMHO) and show the deepest emotional connection with their music!

i had to watch this twice, go listen to the original and then come back and listen again with the lyrics fresh in my mind, although several verses were cut. it was definitely an impressive performance, although i am not sure the feelings were as authentic as the panel suggested they were, you couldn't tell that from the quality of the performance.

So this is what you call the chills never felt it before till this day wow 🙌🙌🙌

I had goosebumps on my goosebumps. These guys LITERALLY took my breath away. Had to scramble for my rescue inhaler when the song ended! When I watched it again (how did we live w/out DVRs?!) I was on my feet, howling. My newest rescue thought that was very exciting and she joined in. First time she's howled. Made it even more momentous! lol Seriously, tho', if you guys read this, Melodores, you KILLED it. WTG on the win, and keep up the great work! =D

This vocal MIX and COMPOSITION covers the full spectrum so well...not too hip on the show but couldnt help but comment. The legends I learned from at Bluff Road Recordings and Apple would absolutely thumbs up this across the board. Very well done. And hats off to the live mix engineer as well. If youre not overprotecting w/compressor you are a true unseen bada**!

You know Pentatonix is sitting there like, "You had to perform two songs to be called Sing-Off champions. Uh huh ok." These guys were good but it's a joke to cram a couple performances into a night and call anyone the newest champions of a show that used to require an entire season's worth of performances while displaying a whole range of vocal versatility to win. And you've got Nick Lachey trying to dramatize it up for TV as if we have all developed some sort of emotional attachment to these artists we first heard five minutes ago. I'd love to see this show return for an actual multi-episode season because a one-night deal doesn't have any integrity as a competition.

This performance was astonishing, and to be honest the only one of the night that blew me away. Seriously, better than the original artist's version, and that happens so rarely. Absolutely knew they had the contest in the bag when they finished this. Congrats, boys, a well deserved win!

Pentatonix could have made an album from what they did on the song off. This was a very crammed, short performance. You have to do more than a handful of songs to be called "Sing-off Champion" in my books.
