You can’t see it in this video, but a couple of his teammates did come over to check on him and he waved them off. He apparently needed a moment to himself, for which you can’t blame him.
For me, the image of Erik Johnson lying on his back on the ice embracing Nathan MacKinnon is my Stanley Cup photo moment, almost like Bobby Orr in 1970.
@@jimmyvu6649 Over the team that was in DEAD LAST in January and fired their coach? Then goes on to have one of the best winning streaks in NHL history, and manages to win the cup, their FIRST Stanley cup? Nah def the kings in a 7 game series.
This is perfect, all the right calls, right everything. This needs more traction and views. Maybe also if you did one like 2000-2023 that would have alot of views too. Thank you so much for this!
For me that 2011 bruins run was the best of this decade. I mean just go back and watch some of the thrills of that run , so many game 7 , crazy comebacks , OT wins , big hits , scrums , everything you want to see in hockey that run will offer you.
As a caps fan it took us 10 try’s to win. TEN YEARS OF SUFFERING. Presidents trophy wins only to result in another second round exit. You will have your time. You just need to keep the winners and banish the crybabies.
@enchanted2k797 that is true, but there is a major difference..... in the ovi era they made progress throughput those years, won some rounds, got better, and held onto ovi, who has heart, among a bunch of other caps players.... the leafs have made zero progress in 8 years with this dynasty, and I believe have only 1 player that has some heart. Mo rielly! And they have refused to make important changes! If leafs get any chance it will be with a new president, manager, coach, and team... probably decades away lol
@@Wezagodman playoffs are unpredictable you never know who may win except Tampa came in thinking they’d cruise to a third straight championship but they met a team with more determination
I imagine one of the best things about winning the cup is no matter what happens for the rest of their careers, no matter where they play or who they play for, they will be forever bonded.
Imagine how much of a party it would've been if Vancouver won it in 2011. Playing at home, game 7, no other Canadian team has won it in decades. I guess that dream is what broke them.
And just like the Avalanche did last year, the Vegas Golden Knights loses in 7 games of the 1st round of this year's Playoffs after winning the Stanley Cup last year.
I fucking hate Vegas, they were given everything there is the offer within a decade and yet first year they go to the finals and lose, several years later they already won the Stanley Cup. This is why they are the most hated franchise in the league today.
They took what they could get, dumbass Anaheim giving up on Theodore when he was only 23, Pens protecting Murray instead of Fleury, Marchy, Stone and other very good players. And then we have the Blues, not resigning their fucking CAPTAIN fresh off a historic playoff run. I believe they also got 6th in the lottery in 2017.
The Ducks had a Generational Team that could've been a Dynasty, but the Blackhawks keep beating them only for them to either win the Cup or lose to the Kings. Thank you so much Chicago 😡
season ago at party, my friends and I were betting on who would win and I bet on Calgary, well - Calgary was a few points short of participating in PO, but they would probably lose to VGK (my friends' predictions didn't come true either, so no one won or lost any money :P) now i think the Canucks can do it (friends are for the Oilers for Mcdavid finally winning the stanley cup...) but don't lost your hope my friend - the team i support in my country won the championship 2 weeks ago after 20 years, it was amazing feeling...
@@Cros9911 I’m a Ducks fan - non post season qualifying bird fans unite! 😅 that’s a solid prediction too. Both of those teams have great depth! I think Edmonton’s ability to score will be an interesting matchup against Colorado. They play similar hockey, but if Winnipeg beats the Avs then I think jets oilers is a good match up too. Canes are gonna sweep NYI, rangers might go 4-1. But NYR is just too good this season. They’re not the sexiest team to talk about so they’re underrated
Lol no fans cared in Vegas that their team just won the CUP. Smh. And unfortunately they look great against Dallas. Hope they can steal one in Vegas this week.
And here’s why, they’re a brand new team, they were given everything there is to offer, the first team ever to become brand new and go all the way to the finals😡😡😡😡. It just makes no sense that’s why they are the most hated franchise in the league while Boston is the most overrated
Sean McDonough & Ray Ferarro on the call with Emily Kaplan from between the benches on ABC... And a bad play up high. McLaughton sends it in deep. 10 seconds to go. Makar, fittingly, battling for the puck in the corner. 5 seconds to go. Upton comes to the line. COLORADO HAS WON THE STANLEY CUP!!!!
@@levimoser5970 not even remotely joking. The dude was terrible. His voice was grating, his Doc-isms were stupid, and his goal calls were bland. At least he can't hurt us anymore.
@@Hashmusical Not a take. A fact. The dude ruined every game he called. I'm so sick of everyone acting like he was some great commentator. I'd rather listen to Jack Edwards call a game, and I can't stand Jack Edwards.
