Love the SF Masterworks. Gollancz is doing fans a big service by keeping these books in print (and hopefully making money). They also have a fantasy line. Thanks for featuring these. Looking forward to your reviews.

Like the sound of The Demolished Man. Donald E Westlake wrote a similar themed book Anarchaos that just happened to be set in the future so technically sci-fi

Some ended going for that much, since it was an auction, but I wanted to start them at cost. I do hope the dealer will get more, but this was a wonderful opportunity for me to get some and also share with my community 💕

I get these from blackwells. Its not expensive, just takes a while to get to the US.

The Demolished Man doesn’t happen “in space”-it’s just future Earth. Fun read. I’m a fan of the SF Masterworks series and have about 40 titles, most of which I bought in Bangkok when I lived in Thailand, because the bookstores there carry a lot of UK imprints.

Great stuff as always Bob! There is an estate sale nearby with lots of sci fi books but I am being responsible and spending time with my family visiting from Tennessee. Should they go out though I will be there lol

My friend Donna gave me the whole Age of Myth series, but I resold it, because when I read the summary it didn't seem interesting to me. Maybe that was a mistake...
