After a disappointing Day 55, I had to make an impression in front of these Manchester-based scouts or risk losing the confidence we've built up the past two months or so. This was another open to public trial arranged by the PFSA (pfsa.co.uk/?) who hold trials throughout the year in Preston, Lancashire. In this vlog you'll see a good chat with Dave Hobson (ex-Man Utd scout and founder of the PFSA) as well as a former West Ham scholar and a out of contract pro player who came from Belgium. If you don't know who I am - my name is Nick Humphries and I have quit my job, left my life behind in Australia and I'm risking everything to earn a pro footballing contract in 100-days. I prepared for this week of trials using the pro-level online training and education with Premier League analysts provided by TrainEffective.com traineffective.com? Man I believe in you, you gave me hope to get up again and chase my dream. My goal is to train and train till I graduate high school and after that I will go to Europe or Spain for trials and see where life will take me from there. Much love man. Hope you make it
The biggest thing I've learnt, if u take a bad game of training session or trial in ur case and keep it simple and be confident you can stand out and have a good game again, man I'm gonna be so much more confident after watching this. Ur such an inspiration. I'm gonna make next season my best ever 🙏👍🏻
Well done Nick, hopefully one of the clubs pull through and call you. There are multiple things i've learned from these Vlogs but the one thing that mainly stands out and i think everyone can agree, if you think your not good enough or too old to make it you will not make it but if you work hard and believe you will make it possible to become a pro footballer . Massive thanks Nick for this great content⚽️💯
From what I have seen from your gameplays, if you are a winger you have to be more selfish on the ball you can't be afraid to go on 1 vs 1's , you talk so much about tactics and being a leader and all the stuff that you got to do to 'look good' as a player , but you really gotta focus on standing out with the ball on your feet and in my opinion your are not doing that , if you don't stand out with the ball no pro club will want you no matter how much tactical stuff you know and even if you r a leader. I'm gonna be honest I think you might have potential but yet your not showing by just playing simple and not taking any risks , like I said be more selfish on the ball. This is not hate or nothing like that just trying to help you because one thing I do have to say is that you are really strong mentally and really focused for not quitting and chasing your dream. Best of luck!
Those tactics he talks about aren't even tactic lol. That's the awesomeness on player creating space. This is so simple at high level football country like England. You're right on that selfish point btw. Winger should have courage to challenge defenders
I really love your blogs! And you should always keep in your mind that in this 100 days you are living the live of a Proplayer, so no matter you will get a contract or not enjoy your time, have fun, and improve as much as you can. Good Luck! You will reach a contract!
you're such a fucking motivation you deserve this contract for not giving up even after a few failured keep working hard and great things will come includind the contract
you deserve whats coming to you. you're patient, ready for everything. i have trials for San Jose Earthquakes U17 on July 30, just trying to practice everyday and strive to greatness. I promise you with this attitude and training you will be on the list of one of the top teams in england or maybe europe! Just never give up :)
Are you going to have a go in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland? Teams in N.I. aren't professional, most only train twice a week and have other jobs during the day. However its a good stepping stone for players to get into the professional game. recent examples Liam Boyce, Stuart Dallas, Gareth McCauley all played Irish league and are now full time pro's.
you are an inspiration nick. I tend to dwell on mistakes as well and get frustrated. But I will work harder and harder to make sure I minimise my mistakes. You inspire me to work my butt of everyday and to chase my dream. I believe in you nick. You will get a pro contract keep working #effectivefam ❤❤
you can be mourinho bro. so many things in football beside being a football player. but this experience will help you tremendously besides the outcome. cheers GBU
the 2 pieces of gameplay he showed he has wide open space and passes it to a guy with 2 defenders on him, and then he has a cross with only 1 attacker in the box that's blocked lmao
I Love you Nick❤..No Homo..God bless you Hustle. .You will make it Professionally...I can assure you of it..Through Mary our Mother..Amen..You're Awesome
you are so lucky for being able to participate in these trials and to live in Europe. I live in canada in a small city and all we have is university football and a summer league (kind of like sunday league) and its pretty hard to get a contract or even to be seen because there are no scouts ...
Cole Allan he obviously means find a way to make your dream happen did you not see the other video?? regardless of his teams quality he tried his hardest to play good football.
Dave gave a great input. I love what you do, but you move around so much. What would happen if you settled and commit to one club, even if it's not pro and grow with the team?
Mark Pralat, Jr this is the question I get asked most. Can someone in the effective fam answer it? Lol. Worked at a bank, saved quite a bit and of course through traineffective.com where we have an online football academy.
Hard work can only get you so far. You need to be different & make the difference like mahrez & zaha. Our coaches are killing dribbling & skills in fear of losing the ball. Pro clubs don't play our youngsters so better to play non league & get noticed
I attended a uk football trials event recently in Manchester December 22nd I was approached by two scouts at the end however I believe after this point when they asked for my details e.g. my age I am 24 even with 2 years professional experience I believe making it in England is very tough to land professional opportunities.I did land a opportunity to jump up a league to Lancaster city fc one league away from the conference.. but for my performance I wasn't scouted by a professional club in England for my age group...check my highlights and comment to see what I could improve on and should I have got a trial with a professional club full footage-ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ylVTeAieEWU.html2 min highlights video-ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OtWGcENJwic.html
Doesn't have anything to do with this, but did you see the fire in the tower? Just curious.. +Keep it up I'm sure you are going to get the feckin pro contract!
keep going bro! I uploaded my individual training session, go see if I'm worth training with! Looking to transfer to a better team for next season and I have some good options :P maybe ill make it pro before you ;)
Hilarieo hey mate drop me an e-mail. I have several contacts in the game and I myself use to play with Manchester cities academy. I can help you out Fraserwilliamc@gmail.com
