He called it right before the ball popped out - and Booker also kicked the ball once it dropped, and KD pushed Austin to the floor. You guys clearly don’t watch basketball closely.

if you watch the timeout call in 0.25 speed it actually looks like austin has the ball in his left hand and its *just* coming out at the exact moment lebron calls the timeout, it is VERY close, definitely not as cut and dry as everyone is making it out to be here.

Refs ruined this game. Borderline need to be investigated, the suns were disabled by bad foul calls early. The call at the end really sent me over the edge. Hard to watch as an general nba fan .

So nobody gonna talk about that call when Booker kicked the ball while LeBron was passing for an open layup to Prince and instead of +2 for the Lakers, the Suns got a 2+1 on a strange Dlo "foul" on Grayson. The game lasts 48 minutes and there were like 10 bad decisions in it. You're trying to highlight just one. This isn't wise and fair. Booker should've been called for an offensive foul on Reaves in the 3rd quarter, he got 2 free throws. But you didn't see it and you wanna make judgement calls. What's wrong is building narratives based on two highlights, not the big picture.

You wanna say one timout call, that could've been a foul call on Booker or lost ball and Phoenix posession - completely decided the outcome of the game. Grow up, man. Lakers were a better team and they won. The refs actually helped the Suns stay in the game within reach, but you don't know it, cause YOU DIDN'T WATCH the whole game.

Reaves was rewarded for 75% of his flops last season. This season he's being rewarded for more like 40% of them. Refs didn't reward him this time, so he turns the ball over - then somehow still gets saved by a horrible timeout call.

There’s another camera angle that shows behind him that shows he regains it on his leg, refs after the game reviewed it and released a statement saying the timeout was still good.

Reaching. No one had full possession of that ball. That shouldn’t have been a valid timeout. Refs bailed the Lakers out with that call.

I expect the same outburst when LeBron gets hit by Tatum in the arm for a game winning layup. Or Westbrook gets hacked on the arm by Embiid. Tray Brown fouled on a Mavs game winning shot. Or when MPJ fouled AD in the WCF in the last 1:30 and refs didn't call it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You wanna make narratives, not true statements.
