I really respect and admire main lead character. Being in so much of pain and surrounded by negative energy 😪 she never gave up on herself. Her dreamy world does falls apart after knowing her husband every kind of filthy work but after giving a sense of calmness and strength to herself she revived. Forgiveness and moving on requires a lottttttt of strength and sensibility, which I have observed in her character❤️❤️❤️
In marriage or any relationship, forgiveness must be given to oneself and to the other parties. It is the only way we move on. However, forgiveness does not mean going back to a troubled relationship whose behavioral patters are destructive to one's self respect. We all rise up from the pain and move on with a new mind set.
What I learned from this amazing program is that the ones that suffer the most are the children by the way amazing story thanks for the director the cast and who wrote the story I was hooked from the moment I watched the first episode
I liked this drama till the mid of the last episode but the ending was so unsatisfying. The male lead should have just backed off and left for the sake of his son. The female lead, how can she even forgive the man who ruined everything. Seeing the ending makes me wonder what was the purpose of the struggles and near-death fights when all she had to do was forgiving him in the end. Sympathy is different but the child suffered the most at the end. Such an open ending! I feel so disappointed now.
It’s sad to see how the father might have passed down his unresolved trauma to his son and ex-wives… abandonment is a real issue. It’s hard to resolve such complex feelings especially when we reach adulthood but it’s a big issue we have to work on ourselves so that the next generation will be less affected.
I just wish she ended with Dr. Yoon Ki (if Spell his name right). Honestly, when he first appeared and smile, he melted my heart!! The fact that he also protected sun woo and talk to yoo young, made me fell in love with him even more!! Everytime he appeared, I always pray and hope he won’t be a bad guy and love her, protect her, and be her lover/a very good friend!! I just wish the story was a bit different! I wish she was able to move on and love Dr. yoon Ki! ❤️❤️
I understand the child who run away. If you already tell your mother want you feel but disregard it and still go for her husband. It's a great decision to stay away for good, to those toxic people and save your sanity.
And although it's a drama i wish she'd pay more time and attention to his son,most of their mother-son problems could be solved by proper communication which they lack
I think she tried but the son is the one who always making trouble for attention whatever it is. He didn't learn from his best friend who also child of divorce parent. When the mother finally willing to give the child custody to her ex husband, the son finally learn the lesson that his father and his step mother are the actual toxic one. He never understood that the problem why his parents divorced was coming from his father. He clearly knew there is another woman and how his mother is very in pain and yet he always act selfish

This is the most unsatisfying ending I've ever watched. Why accept a man that is only sorry after he broke and hurt the family. And the female cheater was ok at the end, no retribution at all. In the end, I agree to what happened, the the kid vanished. He doesn't want the father anymore and it's one of the most realistic feeling in this drama.
Omg. You're one of those viewers who just reads subtitles but doesn't know how to comprehend. The wife just wanted to forgive the husband, but will never accept nor give him a chance anymore. The kid ran away, but still, he went back to his mother. The female cheater (Da Kyung) was not okay in the end. She did not have a complete and happy family with Tae Oh, and she did not entertain any other man anymore after he broke with him. She and her parents left Gosan because of shame as she was actually the real home wrecker in the first place.
They didn't end up together. They just became friends. For their child. But even if the wife takes back his husband, it's still realistic. I know lots of married women who were being cheated on not once accepted and forgave their husbands. I don't understand either. maybe, they chose love over pride.

It's my mistake to use the word "accept" because I know they did not end up being together. What I mean is, she should have left him tbh, after all the ordeals, physical and mental abuse she had gone through in the hands of that man. Not only her but her child suffered from him, yet she still became friends with him at the end. They should have just stay away from each other. And again the other thing I don't like is how the mistress got away from these cheating like nothing. She destroyed a family, left a fellow woman and her child broken, got a child, and still so rich. I want her to be miserable and not like she left like a queen. She doesn't deserve a peaceful ending. I'm just so triggered with cheaters, because once a cheater, always a cheater.
Many people do not want to get married after seeing this show. First of all Korea is having low birth rate. They are scaring off youth. Life is not simple. Forgiveness and letting go off toxic relationships, toxic feelings is key.
The children always lose out because of the selfish behaviour of parents willing to hurt and destroy each other. 😩😭 this drama was horrifying because it was so close to the truth of unbelievable bad behaviour.
They did not get back together, she just couldn't forgive his cheating and always got reminded of it whenever he got a call or text, the trust was completely broken, so they broke up and he's dating another woman now.

Not sure. For me it was so annoying. First 6 episodes were great. Later it was depressing, gets onto our nerves. The acting of main characters were good though. The show is totally messed up. It should show forgiving and let go is key to all troubled relationships. Also seeking professional help. But main characters continue to mess up own and others lives. It takes way too much time to make a point. In real life people realize much faster.
the series is nice but very slow. and the ending? theres no satisfaction in this drama. even when the son's home at the end of the movie i dont understand why they are not showing his face.
Yeah me too. Haha it leaves me hanging. Well kudos to the script writer of this drama. After the ending, I kept on thinking about it. It's an open ending story. I can say bravo.
The first wife will always be the real wife even if husband divorced her as long as she live…so if you want to divorced- you must remained single…and you can only marry someone if spouse past away.
In religious context the other party who got cheated on has every right to get into another relationship and still be considered w/out fault(given that legal divorce has taken place). Legally if you are divorced(even if ur not cheated on), you have every right to get into a new relationship, but you are to still take responsibility of the child/children both of you have
I just hope maganda twist ng Filipino version ng The Broken Marriage Vow nila Jodi parang pangit nmn na at the end nag layas yung anak napaka lame 😒 parang bitin if ganyan sana baguhin para mas maganda.
I have just finished this kdrama. Personally, it's overated, Crush landing on you or My mister are far better....Very slow, and with a lots of "not possible in real life" events. The "highlight" is the runaway of the son, very exaggerated move.
