I know! That part makes me the happiest! I love this version of this song! They made it so beautiful and Austin at the beginning was amazing!And the guy from Ten was awesome too! But when everyone starts singing throughout this " I'm starting with the man in the mirror," I just have to sing along because it's so beautiful and fun and oh my gosh I loved this!

Because, unfortunately, people don't want talent or substance in their entertainment anymore, because that requires thinking. People would rather watch garbage like American Idol where they can get a laugh at some terrible talentless morons looking for 15 minutes of fame and then gawk at mass pandering shite like Kelly Clarkson, and it's really sad, but that's what we get for letting teens and kids decide what's entertaining and "good".

+ThePi314Man You're so right. Those so-called talent shows attract so little talent whereas in TSO all the people are talented. (It's a doggone shame that record companies don't pick up groups like Home Free, Vocal Rush, Ten and so on. So ridiculous.)

tygerteam I don't think they've turned to Patreon to get any "play from the masses" - their tours regularly sell out and they have a huge fan base. I think they use Patreon to do what they want when they want. A lot of their cover videos are classic, great arrangements, high production value - - and something most labels wouldn't touch with a 50 foot pole. They do it to give their fans what they want. They still do regular albums - 2 so far - and their second Christmas album comes out in November 2016. (Check out their new video - "How Great Thou Art" recorded in the Tyrolian Alps in Western Austria. Simply stunning both musically and visually).

They havent turned to Patreon, per-say, but they definately need it. If they had a massive record label behind them, they would do those videos (maybe even better quality?), and grow quicker. What upsets me more than the fact that they dont have the record label to produce more music, is that they dont grow as quickly at all. With Sony, they earned 180,000 subscribers. Once they changed record labels, they gained only 70,000, and now the subs just come in at a snails pace. While subscribers on youtube isnt the best measure (as record sales are), people dont buy records or albums when they can just find it online for free somehow. They should have multiple millions of subscribers like PTX has (which anyways, HF is better than PTX by a long shot).

Home Free is still an a cappella country band. None of them are boys and if they were accompanied you could drop the bass and the beat-boxer and then there would be no more Home Free. Thankfully that's not going to happen! While I adore Vocal Rush, the judges made the right decision in choosing HF as the winning group. They are PTX-like or above quality, just not pop but country!

Home Free is cleaner than PTX, in every aspect. More precise, more dictative, more balanced, arrangements are more complex, etc. The only thing PTX has on Home Free is that Scott is probably one of the best singers that have lived. Other than that, Tim "beats" Avi, Austin "beats" Mitch, Adam "beats" Kevin.

Agree. Unfortunately every show I find that I enjoy, gets cancelled. The latest casualty, the hysterically funny Surviving Jack. I do not understand how The Voice, with unrelenting inane comments directed at mostly uninteresting singers, is a smash hit, while this show, where even very young musicians create great music, where the judges (Ben Folds!) respond incisively and intelligently struggles to take hold. Sad really.
