Dude I say it in almost every track video they post but nobody fucking listens. You turn those decent tires into ice skates when you boil them like that. They are not racing compound they will not get sticky, they get slick. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Sadly every video I see them baking the tires, just stupid, at the drag strip they drive them through the water, then bake the shit out of them, I have walked up a few to explain it's wrong, officials have done so as well, but they insist they know what they're doing, then proceed to bake the tires for 200ft and have no idea why their car is so slow.

If they are the stock cup tires... they are hard as a rock and act like plastic tires when they are cold. They do need to be heated up a bit.

@@On3Supply I am pretty sure those are not cup tires either as the cup tires are for the Track Version are they not? But even if they were, you do not do a burnout like they are slicks. Hell even my Mickey Thompson's I never had to burn them that much for crying out loud and I launched at 3500-4000rpm with a stick shift and 600+hp on the gas or 5500rpm on motor with over 400hp in a 93 cobra that pulled 1.43 60 foot tire toting the tires in first gear over a foot high and over a can in 2nd gear! I had excellent traction so not in a million years do they need to be heated like that! I hooked just fine! All they truly did was over heat the tires, the engine, the transmission, the oils etc...

Being on the limiter didn't even bother me that much. The burnouts were just like 3 times longer then they needed to be since they're just street tires anyway. A quick spin to clean em off is all you really need.

@@waltermacknight9299 10.6 at sea level, makes perfect sense. In Vegas they were higher then 2000ft above sea level. With a sea level correction alone was showing that Stangmode's buddy would have been around 10.45 and to add slicks, a cooled down motor and trans, skinnies on the front, 50 degree weather, take out the passenger seat and rear seats as well as spare tire and anything else adding weight removed I could seriously see it running close to 10.00's -10.10's and with a e85 tune to top that off it would be entirely possible to see high 9.00's probably in the 9.70-9.80's range. Very possible

If this car can run a theoretical 10.4 at 136 (10.8 at 131.8) on a street tire I have a really good feeling that if u were to give the similar treatment that the demon “drag pack” has (i.e. taking out the passenger seat, putting it on specially designed radials and front skinnies plus race fuel) that it could break into the 9’s in perfect conditions. With a trap speed like that it’s easily a high 9/low 10 second car. Outstanding job Ford, especially on a TRACK car.

No doubt. Plenty of MPH for a 9 second pass. Cut 3 tenths of the 60 with slicks and a driver's mod ( Let Stangmode drive it ) and it's there.

For those of you disappointed in the times Evan Smith has already run a 10.61 @ 133 in a non hot lapped car at Bradenton FL and his hot lap times at Vegas were similar to Stangmodes in pulling 10.8 and 10.9 in the 130mph range Good content Stangmode keep it up 👍

BlueCollarDaily - Evan Smith is a Mustang drag racer/magazine guy since the Foxbody days. He has a RU-vid channel called REVan Evan with the GT500 drag times. He probably got early access to a take home press car because of his history... not sure if it was direct from Ford or if someone else called him to try to run a low ET because of his drag race history... if I remember right he was the first guy to put a stock LS Camaro in the 12’s I think for Super Chevy when they were at the same track same day as MM&FF magazine

Plenty of mph for a 9 second pass. Keep in mind they were only leaving at 2k on a street radial. That car will probably pull a 1.4 60ft on a slick.

Much better in your and your buds hands. Light burn out. 10.5@136 corrected is as quick as a Demon (in showroom trim on 93 octane strert gas (808 hp) and no interior on Drag radials. In street trim with full interior and street tires the Demon "can not" run quicker than 10.9@131 . So as Ford said 6 months ago: this fully loaded street tire car can in fact Slay Demons. Rumor has it with drag tires and skinnys, 95 octane and 800 hp it runs 9.7@141 corrected.

Why was some drivers doing a John Force burnout? Not required for street tires. I also believe Ford wanted the cars to run to check cooling and performance running hot laps. A good set of drag radials and letting the car cool after each run would bring the ET into the low 10s. Then add a tune with a pulley change and the 9s are in reach. Not bad out of the box and having the cars beat on.

Early 90s I ran low 11s in my SC 383 1988 IROC with T-56 manual and traction problems. It was set up Pro-Tour style with 3.23 rear gears not ideal for drag racing. My car was WAY lighter , but those trap speeds are insane. Mine were low 120s.

Stock Tire ET is good. Even DOT Drag Radials Don't need Burn Out. Just a Dry Clean off spin. Reaction Times indicate most would be left behind.......

Once you have yours and properly set up the car is going to do very well. Nice job with street tires and first runs in a stock car. I knew you would get into the 10s. Going to be a fun, quick car for you once you get more practice and your mechanics set it up. Not bad at all for bone stock car and tune and conditions.

Should be able to trap 134-136in cool fall air with good da and with a good 60 and tire that’s mid to low 10. 130 is enough for a 10.6-,10.8 now it’s just spinning

With a corrected D.A it runs a 10.66 at 133 from that 10.80 pass. Back east with a drag radial its running 10.30s at 136 mph

Relax Redeye has gone 10.29 on a tire. 9.9 with weight taken out. Once the gt500 does that then you can make cute comments.

@@voodoodiecast Yes on a stock tire the gt500 is faster as of now. I think we may see a 10.6 in a stock Redeye sometime but yes you are correct. That being said can we agree that the demon leaves them both in the dust stock for stock?

Even running low 11s with the temps and now the people were drive them is not bad at all. Basically someone who has never raced can jump in and get around 11.5

Remember he said, everyone was doing big burnouts in the cars. They were heat soaked and it was bad DA that day...so dont expect killer numbers..also the tire werent good for drag racing
