The current MX-5 looks like a cat fish. This one is too flashy. Wagon wheels too big. Needs more leg room, trunk, and interior space. Just a little more.
Imo, the current Miata looks awesome. The Miata will always keep true to form by being a small lightweight sports car. If you add more leg room and space that’s going to add significant weight thus affecting the driving dynamics and fun factor. If you want a bigger convertible there are other choices to pick from.
It’s people like this that killed the Miata. 2025 will be full electric, much larger and roomier, weigh over 3,000lbs, and be automatic only. This video does not show the actual new body style. But Mazda has come forward and said it will be full electric and automatic only. The Miata is dead.
Mazda missed the boat with the MIATA!----i know it sold a lot of cars ( but its been 20 year's) and it is sold all around the world---but in the main market (america) its known as a chick mobile --its just too small for most american men!!----a foot and a half longer and wider and it would have doubled its sales!!!!
