Parkwood Deli is solid. My last time there (2 weeks ago) I was disappointed with my Jet sandwich (barely any buffalo sauce), buf one out of the countless times isnt gonna sour my opinion. Every item there is a winner.
It's good because the owner works the counter. He doesn't just trust a bunch of kids to do it the way he showed them, while he drives around in his BMW all day. Old school guy taking pride in just making quality food.
Look, your review of this deli place has me wanting to fly from Houston, Texas to NJ... & not to see my family that live there, (that I haven't seen since early 2020)... But to only go to this deli. My mouth is literally salivating! 🤤🤤
BTW - as a midland park native, i like to think there are two types of people in midland park. those who go to parkwood, and those who go to la strada. la strada is maybe 3 minutes away and the food is just as good if not better.
Im in NJ....but in the boondocks of Warren county. The solitude is nice, but man, I long for the days of my youth when I lived in Hudson and Essex counties 30-40 years ago. These types of sandwich joints were all over the place back then.

Honestly, pizza is the best when they reheat it in the pizza oven. Ever order a whole pie, they give it to you fresh out of the oven, and it's not that crispy. But when you order a slice that been sitting there all day, and they reheat it in the oven, and it's nice and crispy? Yeah, give me reheated pizza from the oven over fresh made pizza any day. From now on, don't order whole pies. Order slices. You will see a huge difference. I barely ever order whole pies, not unless i have too.

Not only can I not find a chicken cutlet sandwich like that with vodka sauce, broccoli rabe and fresh mozz within 50 miles, but if I could they would charge well over $20 for that around here 😩
