Well your opening sequence brought a HUGE smile to my face! I hope you realize just how much fun you bring to so many people who treasure your art videos! I just watched another sketchbook video from “Emily Arts” she showed off the Denik brand and it did quite well too! I have a mountain lake scene that I draw/paint on any new surface using my favored mediums, pencils - graphite and color, watercolor, inks, and markers. If the paper fails to accept any of the mediums I pass on another or larger purchase. I believe that you both did a superlative job testing your books and everyone who get either will be quite pleased! Thank you Gem you have started my day of in the very best way!
Hi Gem, wanted to thank you for recommendation, I’ve just had my sketchbook delivered it’s so beautiful I can’t help keeping leafing through it much to my husband’s amusement how anyone could love blank pages!! You’d have thought after 50 years he’d have realised he married a stationery nutter!
The cover is really beautiful but I prefer it if the sketchbook was square… I don’t know why but I tend to go for square sketchbooks. Still it’s very unique and could be used for just specific projects. I could find a use for a book like that, it’s just too pretty!!! What sold me was when you compared the paper to that in the illo’s sketchbooks. Those are the ONLY sketchbooks I use! Take care of yourself Gem 💎!!!

Very Nice 👍 Gem!!! I love books 📚 that look old. I bought a couple of old looking leather bound books 📚 from Amazon. They have deckeled? edges on paper 📜. I haven't tried them out yet. You've inspired me to check it out. I've been meaning to anyway. I had to chuckle when you brought out the Crayola's! The only ones I have are the Colors of the World 🌍 pencils. They are fabulous! I have the markers and crayons in that set. They made really good products with the color of the world. Ok. I'll quit prattling. Take care! 🙋💕🌿
Hey Gem I bought a sketchbook recently by Insights its gorgeous it has Brian Froud sketches in it. Faux leather cover with a fairy on front cover, goblin on back. Oh the supplies I bought from the cave I'm practicing drawing eyes, loving the sticker's.
😂 I think you need a few more books! I love these. As you know, I’ve purchased a few books through the stash shop…seeing your collection makes me realize I, too, may love journals and sketch books. Thank you for a great, in-depth review. I’m not an artist but I do collect PaperBlanks journals and notebooks and wanted to learn more about the sketchbooks. I’d probably use the sketchbook for journaling or writing. This was very helpful.

😂 The intro was brilliant! I honestly didn't expect the paper to fare as well as it did. 😊 I think I'd enjoy the willow charcoal on that paper, given the lack of smudging. The bleed-through, again, isn't as severe as I thought it would be. I bet that 'water wrinkle' will have diminished even more after 24 hours too. 😊

Oh man… I’ve bought a ton of their blank journals to use as sketchbooks for years. In fact, I haven’t even used them all, I still have several that I need to fill. I bought a bunch!!! : ) But now…. Oh boy.. Now I need to have their real sketchbook too!?! I’m screwed!! They are sold out for now so I guess I’m safe for a bit…..
I love this! I did buy one of their journals a couple of years ago. But it was too pretty to write in - it was going to be my brewing notebook. I hope they make a smaller sketchbook. Love the idea of the test page - it might get me to actually USE them instead of admire the covers. :D
Gem, you've sunk to a new low in "pusher" behavior. 🤣🤣🤣 Dang it! I've never craved a journal/planner so much! And my ADHD has never allowed me to use one effectively, so I don't need it. But old books are my downfall.
