Build designer here with more tips/modifications (thanks Val for the shoutout!): - If you want to maximize status buildup, go pure Arcane (with 12 str/ 22 dex to two-hand the Nagakiba), and infuse the Poison Moth Flight Nagakiba with Occult. This way, if the Ash of War lands, it's much more likely to proc blood loss and the 'poison explosion' at the same time, for huge burst damage. - Occult infusion does make the Poison Moth Flight Nagakiba less useful for proccing poison itself...But I doubt this matters, since you have better options than the basic Katana moveset for proccing poison anyway. Not to mention, you'll have significantly higher AR with Occult-infusion+Arcane instead of Poison-infusion+Arcane&Dex. - The reason Poison Moth Flight is on the Nagakiba here is that it is (by far) the longest-range weapon that is compatible with that Ash of War. (Just FYI.) - On a pure arcane version of the build, you lose a bit of raw damage with the Blood-infused Endure Venemous Fangs. This is arguably a small downside, but the increased frequency of bleed procs almost certainly makes up for it. The damage of the Viper Bite being reduced is irrelevant since that ash of war is only good for poison procs anyway. - More importantly: On a pure Arcane version of this build, you gain access to a new hardswap for applying regular poison - Ripple Halberd/Blade with Drawstring poison grease! When poison/bleed/sleep greases are applied to this weapon, the status buildup scales with Arcane (S-rank scaling!). This means, at 60 Arcane, these weapons will do over 250 poison buildup in a single swing. This is basically a one-hit poison proc against most opponents. - Swarm Pots and Roped Fly Pots are very good on the pure Arcane version of this build. They trigger massive bleed buildup that scales with Arcane. And since they are consumables, they can be accessed without hardswapping to a weapon with Storm Blade. So if you can free-aim Swarm Pots accurately, they are arguably the optimal punish for when the opponent tries to cure poison with a bolus or spell. There's some juicy irony in punishing someone for healing poison by bleeding them out. - Since you're already speccing into Arcane, equipping the (zero weight) Dragon Communion Seal is a great softswap. With 13 faith, and the faith-knot tear in your Physick (+10 faith), you can cast Ekzykes' Decay. It's very hard to hit you out of the animation if you space it correctly, it can be free-aimed for incredible tracking, and it builds scarlet rot near-instantly. This is another fantastic bolus/heal punish option: there's equally juicy irony in punishing someone for healing poison by scarlet rotting them. - Bloodboon and Swarm of Flies aren't quite as powerful as Ekzykes' Decay, but they're worth considering too, since the space control they offer can help make Poison Moth Flight and Viper Bite easier to land. I would suggest using them in the neutral game, rather than as a bolus/heal punish. Happy hunting, fellow Tarnished!
Could you tell me the necessary attributes for that construction that you mention at level 125 or 150, it seems that you know a lot and I would like to learn from the expert
@@siqueemhn For level 125, you can get the following distribution on Hero class: VIG: 60 MND: 9 END: 30 STR: 18 DEX: 22 INT: 7 FTH: 8 ARC: 50 You can then hard-swap to the Faith+5 Talisman, and drink the Faith+10 Physick Tear, to reach 23 Faith for Ekzykes' Decay. Or take 5 points out of Endurance / Arcane to reach 13 Faith permanently, and use the Physick to reach 23.. If you need extra equip load to reach a poise threshold, just move a few points out of Arcane into Endurance. Or wear the Omensmirk Mask (+2 Strength), and move two points out of Strength into Endurance. For level 150, just raise Faith permanently to 13, keep 30 Endurance, and raise Arcane to 70. (Or go 40 Endurance / 60 Arcane to light-roll with good poise.) Typically the Vagabond class will be about 3 rune levels less efficient than Hero for this build. (In general, Hero is best for relatively 'pure' melee Arcane builds.) Hope this helps! P.S.: If you're trying to level Mind and can live with only 12 Strength, Bandit can sometimes be 1 rune level more efficient than Hero. But the 18 Strength is useful for invaders, since by hardswapping to the +5 Strength talisman you have enough to two-hand the Jar Cannon (23+11=34).
@@soleil2947 thank you very much, I plan to do that construction since I got bored of magic and faith, also I was very lucky since my class is hero so I can do it perfectly and without wasting points, also you explain the construction in such detail and that is incredible
@@siqueemhn Hope you enjoy the build. It's got a lot of tools for different situations, so it will take a few days at least to master, but I have faith in you!
Instead of digging into occult, just use the poison armament spell on the venemous fang, you should be getting around 145+ poison with only a 10 faith investment, the rest you can put into dex with a keen infusion. Its a surprisingly impressive damage increase.
thanks a lot Realism :) I wil try that out, its always cool to have people thoughts on how to improve th ebuild. I also believe that going full dex and just using poison string would be even better ? what do u think ?
snake shield also goes well with any thrusting halberd able to inflict poison. it allows to keep your opponents at range and lets you put on a lot of pressure due to the running r1 of the halberd so even if they have poison boluses they wont have much time to use it
Ripple halberd - after poisoning them in one-hit with Drawstring Poison Grease, swap to Drawstring Blood Grease or (if your morals allow it) Drawstring Soporific Grease.
It's beautiful how often the opponent feels like they *need to heal right now* and just die for it. That's the beauty of poison (and rot I guess). Also, I was doing some digging in Steelovsky's community about the "fencing greatsword" true combos. Apparently if you swing jumping R1 early, and follow it immediately with a buffered R1 on the ground, it combos. But late jumping R1 puts you in grounded recovery frames too long for the grounded R1 to combo. In any case, getting the combo requires some timing finesse and will sometimes drop on bad connections. (There's also some secret tech people are looking at with jumping R1->block for 1 frame on the ground->grounded R1, which seems to combo sometimes on CGS and regular GS movesets.)
"I respect myself too much to use that piece of shit" ahhahah best comment ever..why they had to create something so anti-fashion for souls...absurd. Make a Snake head, a lizard head, so much stuff...no..let's make a fucking fungus...
@@ValentinParkourGaming I think they're remembering the time DS2 had an attire(also a shield) that passively and slowly poisoned the target. Was used on Pacifist/No-hit runs
I think poison is op. Try the militia saw occult infused with poison mist. Mushroom crown and rot and bleed ring. 1100ish ar on a halberd hits like a truck.
Love that video. Honestly i am always lookign for fun stuff to try in elden ring and videos like yours help me out so damn much! Thanks for making that content, keep it up!
Thanks Zawurdo ! I love making funny build kind of like this one. It is not super strong, but it still can be used against good opponents. If you look around my channel you can find a bunch of other ways to have fun with Elden Ring :) Thanks for watching
You don't need Arcane, poison is the easiest status to inflict. Instead take those points and dump them into Endurance up until you hit 50. Then you can wear 3/4 Prelate Armor (Unaltered Chestplate) with the Mushroom Crown. Then you can have both the Kindred of Rot Talisman and Shard of Alexander. As for weapons go for either Hoslow Petal Whip with Poison Affinity or Thorn Whip with Poison Affinity in your LEFT HAND. In your right hand have a Poison Affinity Nagakiba with Poison Moth Flight. In terms of what you put in the Wonderous Physick, I personally went with Winged Crystal Tear (for Light Load) and Opaline Hardtear (for more bulk). As for the other two talismans I went with Pearldrake Talisman +2 and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. I also have a full stack of Rot Pots to punish chuggers AND I run the Frenzied Flame Seal with all 5 Frenzied Flame Incantations. My stats Level: 165 Vigor: 60 Mind: 11 Endurance: 50 Strength: 20 Dextarity: 50 Intelligence: 10 Faith: 33 Arcane: 10
