I am extremely excited to see how it looks once coral is in! Along with the many beautiful fish and invertebrates we plan to get!🪸🐠😄

Add a second skimmer to help with the bioload. Tie both drain lines together with valves and drain it out in the yard. The sod will thank you alot.

@paulcuffaro i used to take care of 40+ goats back in my country. I love taking them out in the fields so they can eat fresh grass. I also remember that they love salt. we used to put salt on a bamboo as a container and put 2 small holes on the side. It works like a catnip for goats.

The silver/black angel is a Lamarck angel, I have one in my reef. He's great, just hides too much due to my tang picking on everyone. The angel is actually larger than the tang too.

Also don’t clean the skimmer fully unless growing Coraline algae. Just the cup is enough. It helps the proteins reach the collection cup better

I feel like the crates in the big pond need to have holes on both sides so they can swim through and don’t feel cornered or trapped. Probably would make it more fun for the sharks as well. Maybe not all of them but maybe 2 or 3??

I think I’ve commented this before but just wanted to let you know that the grouper in the predatory pond is actually a red cherry Louti grouper not a miniatus both are stunning species but you can tell because it has a crescent tail that it is a Louti not a miniatus. Great work though!

Adding a cover will diffuse the light once salt creep builds up on the cover. This causes you to have to turn the light spectrum up more to get the same effect for your corals.

Should get some nutrient removal for the saltwater ponds. Maybe some GFO and carbon. Or some purit. Maybe even a turf scrubber or macroalgae refugium. And yes I know you are working on a budget and working with limited space. But just an idea for ya. It’s helped me keep my tanks going for a year or more without a water change. And no algae issues. 50ish fish in a 150g

The skimmer difference is the bioload . You have way less fish in one vs the other so you’re wrong about the skimmer being sufficient, with the current load you just need to Empty it more often

Make your own RODI water at home. It's incredibly easy to set up and will save you the hassel of having to go out and get it all the time for the RedSea. I would immagine Tommy or Hector can get it hooked up for you in a matter of 30 minutes. Probably $100 to get a system set up at home
