Hi Emily I am 13 and you are one of my favourite RU-vidrs.When I was younger,I really wanted a sibling and now I have a 2 year old brother and a 4 month old sister.Your videos are so entertaining and even thought I am a teenager,I love watching your videos.I also can’t wait to be a mum when I am older. ❤
You share your kids in such a respectful and natural way it’s great. And I have been watching your content for a few years now and I know that you will handle it in a sensible way as they grow older cause we can tell your main goal is for your family to be ok
You are just precious and deserve every ounce of fluffy magic just for being you. This Q and A was so warm and personal. I don't know you but I always feel so proud of you.
I know what you mean… I’m proud of her too! Such an inspiration to chase your dreams, work hard and follow your instincts. She comes across so genuine.
You should make organisers/planners with meal planning and cleaning lists! Would love it and would help me get everything done! I love a to do/tick list! You are amazing!❤
Hi Emily, just wanted to say that none of your old followers think you're a "show off". I've been following you since before Jackson was born & you're a truly down to earth individual :) lots of love ❤
I can so much relate to you modest childhood. I first time visited a beach at the age of 26, when I met my husband and we went on our first holiday together. Also remember having just one jeans the entire high school time - I wore it every day, and got washed over weekend. Same with shoes. It was not bad at all, I had a fantastic time as a kid with loving family, but such a different lifestyle compared to how we live now with our kids today. For my 5 year-old going to a restaurant and have a pizza is basic thing, but I can count on one hand, how many times I visited a restaurant as a child myself - I also grew up in a tiny place, there was just one restaurant ☺️ Thanks for sharing these stories about you, and being who you are.
You are so right! I'm a long time viewer. A few years ago when I commented, which I don't do often, you responded to me and were so nice! I have a 6 yr old boy and 12 yr old girl, living in the US. I love all your content. Been following since pregnancy with Jackson!
I've been watching you since the baby/ toddler years and man this evolution of being a mom is so cool to watch. I have a 9 year old, 5 year old and an almost 2 year old so i'm in the thick of the younger years and the getting almost to pre-teen years too. Your videos are always so inspiring.
Hi 😊 As a new viewer and recent subscriber, I just wanted to jump in & say, you don't come across as smug or showy. To me you come across as a warm, caring, genuine, grounded & hard working. I've been watching your evening & morning routine videos mostly (so far) and have found them not just helpful but also inspiring, so thank you! 🙏❤
Gosh, I just love you. I've been watching your channel and following on instagram for 7 years and you are still the same genuine, warm, actually lovely and kind woman that you've always been
Love hearing the balance about having your children part of your channel and how you make those decisions. I have a super small channel and sometimes the kids show up, it’s so hard to make content when you’re a mom cause the kids are always around 😂 I appreciate all the advice your give, your channel helped me when i first became a mom, and now how to cleaning 🧼 I totally relate to your feeling of what to do after the kids. I have no idea 😂 and it’s scary but life is beautiful and every season is full of new adventures.
I’ve been following you close to 6 years now. Never once I felt you are smug or showy! There is one vid where you told us about your mom, your childhood, moving from canada to england. After watching it, I feel sad for u, but at the same time respect & inspired. Watching you grow from having small office in a corner of your house entrance till now, your very own office room? Happy to see your achievements. And I think it is safe to say, you did great job at parenting. Keep going Emily ❤️🙌🏻 be you! ✨also, more meal prepping vid please. Haha. Cause your food palette has spices, a bit similar like us asians. 😁
Great video! I rarely comment at all on videos, but I wanted to thank you for answering the question about your children on the channel. I started watching you at the same time as mommy vloggers around 2016 and many of them exploited their children and are now either canceled or just very fake. You've stayed genuine throughout it all and I love how hardworking you are. I love your content and am always excited when I see your videos. I thought they couldn't get any better, but then you made the video about how to start a RU-vid channel earlier this year and that was the kick that I needed (I had wanted to start a channel ever since 2015 and finally did get into it this year, not this account but another). Thanks for being consistently wonderful! 😊❤️
What a great q&a, just love your positivity and cheerfulness. Boys are so blessed to have such an inspiring mum, matts a great dad too. Together u guys are such good parents, well done❤
Maggie Dent is an Australian parenting author that I would highly recommend. She has a lot on boys. “Mothering our Boys” is a great one and also “From Boys to Men” which focuses on the teenage years. She has her books on audible and I’m sure they would be available in the UK too. I would start with her. She also talks about high energy boys and their need to move which I can tell your boys have that! Start with her. She’s great
Hi Emily, I suffered from endometriosis 18 years ago. I had a scan which showed it on both sides and both overies so was booked for surgery to have it removed. In the meantime I read that star flower or evening primrose oil can help reduce it so tried the evening primrose. Fast forwrd to my op and the consultant was surprised that it had complete disappeared from one side and reduce on the other. I fell pregnant 4 months post op and since had a further two children. I have been back on the evening primrose oil and 12 years later no signs of endometriosis 😀
I’ve really enjoyed this video👍🏻😎. Im a fellow mum of 4year old twins and so much of my motherhood journey has followed your journey with Jaxon. I’m 5yrs in on being a subscriber to your channel and it’s lovely to hear a few more in-depth details about your life occasionally with the Q&A’s. keep up the great work - love watching you from AUS.
I have a 13 year old and I swear he changed over night !. He was the sweetest child, never in trouble at school and seemed to be everyone’s favourite ( I have 7 kids ). He went through an awful phase of being so touchy and rude to us. It was a total shock lol. My advice is to let them do there thing… try not to be too hard on them as we’ve all been through it. Hormones flying everywhere and pressures in society . If he is having a bad day I try to pick up on the the good things he does and pick my battles with him. It’s coming Emily !!!! Get prepared ❤
I'm glad you don't feel pressured to create businesses like influencers do and simply do what you do. I always felt pressured or anxious about it because my goal is only to be a RU-vidr. After my career, I just want to relax and make content for fun.
Hello! While I completely agree with checking with your children before sharing their photos online, I feel like you should publish that video about periods. It’s incredibly important to remove the shame related to them. They are perfectly normal, wonderful thing that 50% of the population goes through monthly and the best we can do as parents is to teach the next generation that there is nothing to be ashamed of ❤
I agree with Emily AND with Fraser, as a young adult male. I think periods should be normalised (nothing to be ashamed of!) but I remember when I was 12 it was a bit... funny? Weird? Which could be an argument for making the video, but also against. Maybe in a few years? I think the right moment to make that video will come eventually, and it'll be a very helpful video for lots of women :D
What do you like to do to stay connected with your kids? Been following you since my first pregnancy, my daughter is turning 6 this summer. She has just started school and ever since that I find it challenging to connect with her when she gets home. Thank you for being such an inspiration and "cleaning buddy". I have a playlist with my favorite Emily cleaning videos, it always motivates me ❤
What happened to your cleaning series where you planned to help people once a month? We’re you just too busy or can I just not find it? 😂 Loved your Q&A as always Emily x
My youngest has chicken pox too, he was fine this morning, even had sport's day this morning but the spots appeared at pick up! Hope Jackson recovers quickly xx
Thanks so much for your holiday tip. I've been stressing on whether to book all inclusive or not so it nice when someone who has been away several times and experienced both self catering and all inclusive tell you it worth it to go all inclusive as it will be our first family holiday with a 6 and 2 year old do definitely want the more easy and relaxing version
Just wanted to say that I also have three boys, two of which are teenagers, and they are still lovely polite boys so I’m sure Fraser won’t change dramatically in teenage years. The slightly sad thing is that they do spend more time in their bedrooms and less time with me having a chat etc but we keep meal times as family time to have at least some time everyday with them. Thank you for your videos, I have been a subscriber for quite a few years now and always enjoy them xx
No, it's not coming. You are kind and respectful to your children and so they will remain kind even as they go through puberty. I have been waiting for my children to turn into the monsters everybody was threatening they would and they never did. Of course they were changing, and it required me to adjust and change accordingly, but that's the parent's job. You will do great and will continue having a great relationship with your boys! Don't worry.
Hi Emily! You touched base on the all inclusive holidays, could you please make a detailed video on how we can find good travel deals and your tips? Also, how are you setting up your budget for your holidays?
Nicola Morgan books are great. I’m a secondary school teacher and we use them, in particular the amazing teenage brain. It talks about the brain chemistry and seeing things from their perspective. I’m sure you’ll be amazing, you’re an amazing parent xxx
Hi Emily!! I also love Q & A videos, so glad you are doing this one😊. So refreshing that you edit your own videos.. I think that's why your videos are so good, and I really enjoy them, and I have been a long time subscriber!! As a Mum with twin 18 year olds... there isn't really any solutions for "teenage attitude" it's a very difficult time, and you have to navigate your way through!! I think the way you include your kids is perfect, and I think it's very balanced. Yes!! I don't think filming disapline would be good at all!!
Hi Emily- Cornwall and Majorca sound fabulous. Exciting ! 😃 The boys are at such a lovely age 💕- so much easier not packing all the baby/toddler essentials 😉. I really appreciate your welcoming and kind space Emily. Thanks for all the tips and ideas as always. I’m looking forward to the office reveal, what a buzz to have your own dedicated space❣️You deserve it mumma. 🌟
Congrats from Singapore on going to be at 800k subs soon. This is your hard work, this is your husband's support. So please please enjoy your big day with your love ones. ❤❤❤❤
I would like to know more about the clothes you wear as I’ve mentioned before that would be really interesting. Do you know what brands and where you purchased them? I’m in the US but I’m thinking some of them come from online. I love your style and the way you mix it up with colors and fabrics.
Great Q&A. As you prob know Iv been a longgggg time watcher since the boys were all born. Totally get what you said when you say how hard it is being a baby and can’t communicate to tell you what they want. And I’m still in the position now, my son Jaxon ( named after yours just spelt diff) my 3 year old will be 4 in august is sev autistic and still doesn’t speak or communicate or really acknowledge us. Does really put things in to the perspective and should appreciate even all the little things like the first steps, the first kiss, the first word. Just makes you realise all those things we all can take for granted. Your a brilliant mum and mat a fab dad. And from every single video Iv watched from all of these years you can see how much you have embraced your boys in every way. So lovely to see xx
You were my companion in this video today while I was making breakfast. I have one question: How do you strenghten or stay in your feminine energy - while running your business?
Pausing the video to say- re teenagers- doesn’t have to be like that. My 15 yo is a sweet boy; loves house plants, and finding out about everything. He knows so much about cars, guns, birds, and so on. He helps me cook or asks to make dinner sometimes. He lacks patience with siblings sometimes, and acts smart and cocky at times, and he has distanced a bit (spends time with friends and plays video games+chatting) but he is not rude, because he is not like that, and because it wasn’t permitted, really. All that to say not to expect F to be like what is expected from teenagers now. My other son (child no 3) is so different and, although loving, he tends to be more reactive and frank (aka rude..) but I don’t just accept and tolerate it, we correct it and talk to them (we’ve got 4 children) A LOT. x
Always love your Q&A videos. Going to sit with a hot chocolate tonight and watch this. Hope you and your family are well Emily and hope Jackson is feeling better now poor wee soul ❤️
Hello Emily, I am one of the oldest followers and I always adore you, your family. I always find you a very intelligent, sensitive and beautiful soul, I also commented it many times. I like all of your contents 100%. I might say about showing your progress in life, your trips and all your achievements it could become triggering at times for people like me who worked hard in the life but did not achieve any of that because of personal circumstances… so it can become hard to watch sometimes but I’m sure what you get is all well deserve it so I’m sure I’ll keep up with you over and over 😌
Hi Emily! I love your videos, they are informative, beautiful and motivating. I would like to find in your channel a LIST of Family Travel, since you have some videos about it and I always find them very helpful when I’m planning a trip with my family. Thank you 💖🤗
Enjoy the under 18 years they are the best, sons especially are close until then but unfortunately really break away from Parents after that. It hurts a Mums heart when you have had such loving daily contact. As my wise Mum use to say this is natural in all species, males go off to create their own families. Enjoy them now. ❤
That's strange because in certain Asian cultures boys are favoured more because they're presumed to stay with their parents and take care of them in old age while girls move out to live with their husbands. Of course this often doesn't happen in real life but it's interesting that the opposite mentality exists in other communities.
Cornwall in great. I’ve done it a few times with my boys. Recommend the Eden project. Sennen cove, porthcurno beach, cape Cornwall. St Ives. Also st Issac we’re they film dc Martin, it has a lovely fish restaurant down the bottom. Polperro is nice too, seen a group of dolphins there before. Enjoy it’s beautiful
Thank you so much for your inspiration 🙏 ❤️ You helped me so much. Especially of being better mum. 😌 And your health story helped me so much. I just went to chek my health by buying the blood test myself. You really inspired me to do so. Health is so important ✨️
I have just got back from a week in Cornwall and I’d recommend going to a place called St Mawes, it’s so picturesque in the sunshine, beautiful sea views and cute properties, and there’s a nice hotel called the St Mawes Hotel (and their sister hotel called The Idle Rocks) where you can go for a lovely lunch- I’d recommend the homemade pizzas as they were delicious!!
I love your channel so much you're videos are so relatable regarding getting an editor can you share the load by getting an editor for the lifestyle videos and edit the family/kids videos yourself to help with the privacy issues? Are you doing any more Hack Your Home series??
Hi Emily, love your content. I’ve been watching since your boys were little. We just bought a new home and in a few months will start renovating. I would love to hear some tips about this stage. I am so overwhelmed , this is a dream come true and I love seeing inspiration for renovating online but I feel like it’s not realistic… Basically, how do I get from the dreaming phase to the actually doing/choosing phase😅 Kisses from Portugal ❤
Thanks Emily, I always look forward to your videos! I do have a question about raising boys...how do you handle fights and physical 'ruff and tumble'?! I have 3 boys too, and although they are still very little (3 and half year old twins and a 6 month old), the physical fights with my twins started when they were about 18 months old. I just know that it's going to be so nerve wracking and only get worse as they all get older haha. Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry if you've already answered this before. Thank you 😊 ❤❤
Hi Emily, hope you don’t mind me asking but did you find the Marina coil helped with bloating as well as pain? I’m hopefully getting one Friday, hope it works for me too 😅xxx
