I did a 12 night northern lights cruise on QV in November and absolutely loved it. They started the Xmas decor while we were on board. So many highlights and seeing this video is taking me back. Glad you enjoyed it!
I was on a Norway cruise on QV in 2019. That was the first time with Cunard. Loved dressing up after 6 pm. Loved the ship. The cabins with the space. The atmosphere. It's lovely to be on a ship that has live music, but also quiet spaces. 2022 we went on a 9 day Transatlantic on QM2. Great journey. Didn't manage to go to the ballroom dancing in the evening. Too short. Always had other things to do.... who knew. And in 2025 we're planning another tour with QV. I'm so looking forward.
For that first red wine- it was quite a large pour and I think it was showing as you spoke about it afterwards 🙂 Very fun, and I'm on QE in July- Can't wait!
We boarded Queen Victoria from November the 23rd until the 6th of December 2023. And she was all done up for Chrismas then. She looked beautiful. Watching your video was like being back on board. Thanks, guys. X
You both looked very smart! It's nice to see that a lot of the other gents in the restaurant were also wearing jackets, even though they were not required. Cunard ships are special; they deserve the extra effort!
You boarded on the day we disembarked! So love Cunard, we’re on Queen Anne’s maiden voyage, which is thrilling. Cunard Christmas Cruises are lovely, did this one you’re on now with my lovely Mum ❤ just before we lost her, but she had such a lovely time and the memories are very, very precious. It’s such a pleasure to see you both enjoying your time sailing on QV xx
You two guys are hilarious 😂 Thank you for a very amusing tour of the Queen Vic. My wife and I are departing 19 August for two weeks on the ship, from Rome around the Med. We love your funny, relaxed and informative videos. 👍
The Mrs and I have just watched all 5 x episodes. Found this as we’re booking the same ship next year for a cruise up to Norway. Have to say, you guys are AWESOME. The video was brilliant, funny, light hearted but very informative. It’s your video that convinced us to book!! Thanks so much boys, you’ve got another subscriber…….Now one for the road 🥂😂 x
We disembarked (6 Dec) the day you embarked. We absolutely loved that ship in every way. Special mention to Alvin in the Chart Room who was the absolute best!! Sailed at least 20 ships and QV is our favourite
@@CruiseMonkeys seriously guys Alvin is our favourite cruise employee ever. He knew what we wanted even before we did and so friendly and lovely with it. Glad you thought as much of him as we did.
My partner and I sailed from London to New York on QM2 in December 2017. We are counting down to our next trip with Cunard on the Queen Victoria from Sydney to Singapore leaving March 4th. We’re totally amped for the trip from watching your Vlogs 🎉 thanks for taking the time to provide great content.
Wow! We’d love to do a transatlantic it’s on our bucket list, QM2 is a firm favorite of ours too. One day we will 🤔💭 We do love QV & QE (they’re pretty much identical) and Sydney to Singapore will be spectacular I’m sure, we’d like to try/experience that itinerary too! We hope you have a fantastic time! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment we really appreciate it 👌🏻❤️🚢
We've done the Queen Elizabeth twice - once over the Christmas period - so it was lovely to see the Queen Victoria all dressed up with garlands, lights and trees. I didn't realize just how similar the Cunard ships were - which is good as we're booked on the Victoria for next year and i won't be getting lost wandering around the place 😅. Great to see the traditional hard backed menus have returned, post Covid - and that it's still a proper 5 course dinner 👍
Loved your film as we are .looking to book QV for 2026 our first time with Cunard We are usually P&O but trying a different one Hope you had a nice sleep after the booze You were both funny xx
Great video guys! I have cruised Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth. Next Cunard cruise will be in August on Queen Anne. Queen Victoria is a lovely ship and I enjoyed every second!
I spotted Queen Victoria in Liverpool last summer. Have always thought Cunard was a bit too posh for me, but this video has really whetted my appetite- not least for the food!!!
Ohhh lots of people seem to think it’s super post but it’s not as formal as some think, the dress code is more formal than other cruise lines but that makes it a lovely experience. Jump on a shorter one if you’re unsure, just to get a taste!
Thank you! We’re always happy and very grateful to be cruising ☺️ You need to get another booked - we wish we’d booked one sooner as it had been too long!
Oh you need to go back! As with all cruise lines, things have changed a little bit thankfully not too much has changed on Cunard - our first Cunard was just over 9 years ago.
Hello Guys lovely vlog so exciting im boarding Queen Elizabeth on the 22nd packing now we are on the ship for 10 days so plenty of time to experience the Cunard ambience i love it Cheers from Sydney.
Ooh, I'll look for those! I'm sure things are a bit different now than then and... my cruise is in Alaska which can be its own world, surely. Looking forward to it! Glad to have found you two! You're adorable!@@CruiseMonkeys
Hi guys what a great episode 1 of your vlog on Queen Victoria x very posh , looks a lovely 😻 ship ⛴️, loved your walk around the ship and of course the odd glass of wine 🍷 or two 😂😂😊
Great Video lads, the late night buffet selection is pretty grim on Cunard, room service is the way to go, as you've seen its not too shabby, I wonder if you had a chance to sample the delights of the Gin & Fizz bar on the 3rd floor, thats fun also.
Thank you! Oh yes, we made a habit of room service each night, it was great and delivered so fast! Yeah, we didn’t miss a bar or lounge during the 5 nights!
Oooooh really?! Where abouts are you? Hope you enjoyed your cruise! We sure did! It was a shame we missed Bruges but the weather can’t be helped I guess.
I would love to pay towards a cruise for you both to guernsey this year on aurora or towards another p&o Aurora cruise that i will go on this year just to say Thankyou to you both for getting me through my anxiety and depression.
Awww, thank you so much for this comment, we’re so happy our vlogs bring you so much enjoyment and help you through tough times ❤️ We really appropriate the message and your support means a lot to us! X
I did a Christmas/NYE cruise in 2022 on the Royal Princess, 16 day Hawaii RT San Francisco. It was a B2B with a 10 day Mexican Riviera & I was in the same stateroom for both cruises.
Oh my that sounds fantastic- we had the Mexican Rivera booked back in 2020 but we all know how that went - need to look at it agsin and Hawaii is on the to do list too! 🤩
Glad you enjoyed! Yes, on production show nights it does, around $60 a box. Book as soon as you can once on board at guest services. We suggest you take a look at the boxes and make a note of the numbers of the ones you want.
Another great video as usual! However, that emergency signal around the 12 min left me scrambling around looking at my phone etc, ultimately turning off the sound for a bit as it was so annoying compared to the soundlevel of the rest of the video... Not really a problem but a hint in the video that it is in fact sound from it (as it stood out so much at the time) would have been great :-D
Sorry I’m late, I’ve only just managed to watch this. Great as always gentlemen, but I must say that I am loving your sandwich hacks…. From your “bacon butty” breakfast ( because they didn’t do bacon butty’s) on your virgin voyage to your “crab sandwich” starter on the Queen Mary 😂 Please try and fit at least one on every cruise if you can 🙏 I will be on the lookout from now on 😂🤣😂
With anytime dining is there a time that is not so busy Seating looks a little sardinish 😂and is that typical crammed seating I have not noticed before
We tend to find the first evening is busy when they offer freedom times on ships, but we would normally go down around 8:30 - 9 each evening, from memory this was probably the busiest night we saw. Not sure what the tables were like in the club/set times dining area and if that was as busy. :)
I was wondering what would be your personal preference on spending while at shore, do you just use your bank card as needed or do you take with you euros for example? We are going on our first cruise and are a bit unsure which is better.
Hi! It’s handy to have some euros for a coffee or to use the WC if you need to, but in general cards are widely accepted in most countries (Europe, Norway etc). We use a Monzo card - this is a Mastercard debit card that you top up via an app on your phone. So if the card is lost or stolen you can transfer the money back to your bank etc. You pay in local currency on the card so it is the BEST rate as it’s the current Mastercard exchange rate and the best thing - unlike many U.K. debit/credit cards, there are no fees for using your monzo card to pay for items. It’s a safe way of using plastic to pay! Hope that helps!
@@CruiseMonkeys I appreciate that, I will have a look into that card this evening. Also I see you have a cymru tattoo, I’m from Cardiff myself. Again thanks for the help, we are loving the videos.
