Nice video. I did this same job last month but needed to change the entire arm as the end with the universal joint was damaged. I’d suggest anyone going to the trouble of removing this arm would be better off replacing the entire arm and not just the bushings at one end.
Good film mate! Consider also the Moosehead Spherical Upper Control Arm Bushings, many e34 forums say these are the best modification you can do to your e34 suspension wise at least.
Did the same exact modification except I used Strongflex's yellow bushings instead. I had the same issue at around 100km/h and people around me kept telling me it's my wheels and tires despite me having them checked previously and they were all fine. Your didn't look as bad as mine though. It definitely made a huge difference.
@@FahreFilms I used Strongflex, which is a slightly cheaper brand than Powerflex, but does the same exact job. I also have Strongflex poly bushings in the rear subframe, something I would suggest you consider as well. The car feels like a go kart now in terms of handling.
@@zillic2 Hold on a minute, you changed the lower control arm, or the top? What is the secret? Because it matters if i need to spend 100 EUR each, or 25 EUR each. :-)
Where did you get those those tools to press out the bushings? Guessing they come in assorted sizes? Would be really helpful I'm about to change all the bushings in my e34
That looks like the upper control arm. I’ve been so confused by the different terms used for the thrust arm. Some say it’s the same as a tension strut and those are the lower control arms. I believe you replace the bushing of the upper arm(thrust arm?) can someone help?
Hey, I must say I really do enjoy the content you put out there . Can I please get your email ? I have similar cars and finding parts for them is hard .
