After a pretty dog$hit week of massive failures, we finally got a good race! Today we are at LimeRock with a short sprint race int he GT4 BMW 12.0 series. This is my first time racing this car in an official race and I think I may return. Share your thoughts and if you race in this series, I may be seeing you soon :).

LOL, Good racing man, best race I've had in a while! Really changed my attitude as i was in a pretty terrible funk with iracing. Lets hope i find more people like you on track!

u still using the 49inch ultrwide greg? i thinking about one but also tempted on triples 1440p lol wondering your thoughts for sim racing?? i only ever used single monitor but now with my new specs (i9 10900K, rtx 3090) wondering if 1440p triples are worth ago or just get the 49inch 1440p cheers

Ya, still using it i prefer the triples but the samsung is easy to deal with. Word of caution with the G9, im going to do a video on it tomorrow actually. With the RTX 30* series enabling 240hz will cause the monitor to boot loop. The Graphics driver for the RTX30X series is not quite ready yet. Im running mine in 120hz right now but the monitor performance significantly better in 240hz mode even when running lower FPS. Right now Im running a 3070 and having the issue. Although the firmware for 240hz will surely come in the next month or so, its kinda irritating but not nearly as irritating as using nvidia surround. To me, the difference between trips and ultrawide are night and day, ill go back to triples as soon as some bezelless monitors are available.

@@GTGREG thanks for the reply yer i'm so tempted to try triples just hoping i can get decent FPS with a 3000 series card at 1440p :) will defiently look out for the video

heres a good video on the performance of a 3080 in 4k. Since you are running trips, you will get roughly 25% less performance than 4k : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NraiM5zGbsQ.html
