The barn door is finally being built!
After months of threatening to do it, we have started, and it’s big!
The end of the project is so tantalisingly close. With now just a few more jobs to do before we hand over the keys.

@@The-Quinta not allowed in South Africa. Before i sold a house, i had to have all overhead cables from roof to elec street pole, buried underground by contractor. Any outside cabling for tv had to be covered by oblong plastic cover, bought at local hardware. Aesthetics and protection.

The door looks great! Looking forward to seeing it installed. If you work on any more door windows or French doors, there is a product that is called liquid mask. You paint it on over the wood work and the panes and it dries clear. Paint over it, let dry, score the edges along the panes with a utility knife and use a sharp blade to clean the rest off the panes. It's a wonderful time saver and gives a very neat finish. Did a boatload of French windows and doors in my nieces house and would have lost my mind if I had to tape it off. Best to you, James and "Linda" !!!

So late posting a comment this week, so so busy, thought I had retired but that was just a myth, never been busier. So those steps have come alive with the trim on them. Looks lovely. Hi James & Christina You we’re really missed,but I did think you’d finished ! I turned on RU-vid & what a lovely surprise you were still working away on the finishing touches on the lovely house ! I love blinds, they always look neat & tidy,unlike curtains! I’ve had white blinds in all rooms in my apartment for 11 years in Australia, they wasn’t cheap,but I must say they still look as good as when they were installed & still as white ! The barn door is big,beautiful & huge,I’m wondering how you are going to get it out of the room to the house! Take care 🥰💕
