I do not claim any negative energy off of this video! My house, pets, family, myself and everyone watching this will be safe and protected by God! You're very brave Peet! Amen 🙏🏽❤️
my heart hurts for elisa lam. god knows what her last hours alive were like. i’ve had manic episodes before, 2 to be exact. almost wound up getting shot the 2nd time trying to get in someone’s house bc i thought my friend was inside getting hurt. people don’t know how powerful it is.
I thought I was the only person who thought she just looked manic, not haunted. I’ve worked too many years in ERs and seen how powerful the delusions are. I don’t know why she climbed in that tank but I fully believe it was a mental health problem and she couldn’t get out. Really sad.
@@lizzymizzyyA 21 year old Canadian woman on holiday who disappeared in late January 2013. Her body was found in one of the water tanks on the roof around 3 weeks later. Her death was ruled as an accidental drowning, with a high likelihood that her bipolar disorder contributed, as it is believed that she suffered manic episodes due to not taking her prescribed medicine. There’s also a very famous video of her last sighting, where she can be seen acting very strangely and appearing to hide from someone or something in the lift whilst frantically pressing several of the buttons, before leaving the lift on the 14th floor and exiting the frame. There’s a wiki page about her or a Netflix documentary, which I personally found to kind of drag on about things that were unrelated to her case and keep leaving bits of info out until later on to get you to theorise about how she might have died, but overall I found it quite informative.
I remember that girl in the window. That was the Ghost Adventures crew from Travel Channel filming one of their shows (they were focusing on Richard Ramirez and Elisa Lam). People on the ground thought she was a jumper, too, and she had to yell to them they were filming a TV show and that she was okay. I'd be more scared of the neighborhood (Skid Row) that hotel is located in than I would the hotel itself. The dead can't hurt you, but the living can mess you up, especially when they're on drugs or severely mentally ill.
You would think they would let the city know beforehand so nobody was freaking out? Lol. Also, I’ve seen a lot of people say the dead can’t hurt you until they get hurt by things they can’t see. Keep an open mind.
I think at least vlogging it for us helps offset some nerves though because at least there's recorded proof and the feeling that you're recording for an audience.
Why not... Coz only 1 floor is pressed that is the lowest floor... Hence it skip all in between floor fast unless there's others that press the button to go into another floor else why would it be slow by default?
The funniest comment on here was someone saying imagine somebody else that's looking at the hotel and seeing someone in there LMAO that might be what happened to Pete
Some girl who doesn't believe in this creepy things, when I asked her, she said that she would spent a night alone in this hotel in the room where a so called "night stalker" was aournd 80's.
I stayed in the hotel in 2013 without knowing anything about the history of the hotel. Went through the elevator, it usually jammed so I thought it’s just mechanism. The night in my room was just. Believe me, I thought that maybe the hotel was related with gangs and mafias, there were a lot of door knocking. The calling doing some noises, the hallway lights always flickered. Just today i have found out about the hotels past.
What’s crazy is as soon as you went into the Ramirez room and squatted down, I immediately saw something move or something in the window and then you said you felt creeped out by the window. That was so crazy.
My dad lived at the Cecil for 3 months. He was in a grunge band local to the LA area in the early 2000s so this was a normal type of thing for him to do. I remember him saying he felt weird there and that it wasn’t a very safe place for me to come and see him. He left after awhile because it was dark and weird. He really only went there to put his head down for the night but even then it was heavy & had a strange atmosphere about it. Cops were always there and it was just a Mecca for transients, druggies and people on the run.
@@sverma9305 yes, the Cecil believe it or not was the stopping ground for many tainted and starving artists. My dad was one of those people, he also delved into drugs and alcoholism and it took him forever to get out of that. The struggle was real and living at hotels especially cheap ones that let you stay for months on end, like the Cecil was easy for him at the time. Him and my mom weren’t together and I lived with my mom. I was never allowed to visit him because of where he would stay. The stories he has of this place are really creepy.
OMG!! I totally freaked out. I’m listening to this with my headphones. When you asked for a sign, I was listening hard. Then I heard what sounded like a growl! I got goose bumps and wonder why you didn’t hear it! Then I realized my husband, who’s asleep next to me, started to snore. 🤦🏻♀️
I stayed in The Cecil Hotel back in 2014 for 3 weeks, not knowing of its history as I actually thought I'd booked to stay in the Stay on Main part of the hotel (this was not the case, and I was on the 9th floor if I remember correctly). Every night, I'd hear voices and footsteps in the hallway outside my room, and when I'd go to check through the peep hole, there was never anyone there - I know voices and noises carried and echoed, but it was like they would stop each time I went to investigate. The worst experience I had though was in the creepy elevators. It was early evening and I got in to go up to my room, but the elevator took me down to the basement. The doors opened, but there was no one there and the hallway was dark except for a light (I assume) just off from the elevators. These doors stayed open for a good 5 minutes, no matter how many times I pressed my floor number but eventually (and to my relief) they closed and took me back up to the lobby where more people got in. Safe to say I didn't use the elevator after that, but after my stay I found out about everything that happened there so I've felt this weird, creepy connection to the place ever since!
He's brave to use those elevators, I couldn't do that, i'd have to take the stairs. Maybe because I've heard too many horror stories but I was half expecting those elevators to malfunction and take him down to the basement and him getting stuck down there. I was so relieved when it stopped on the first floor and he got out. Elevators in haunted places are just creepy.
Holy crap- I didn't think you would ever leave! You brought some good energy to the hotel. Strange smell on each floor, what could that be from? Creepy.
the fact that you went in there by yourself, in the middle of the night, and into one of those haunted rooms saying, “hello?”… I commend you for your bravery, most of us would never do this
Hey peet love your videos and think your mum is awesome! She has a wonderful sense of humour and always presents herself with class. Treasure her, a mothers love is always unconditional and you will never get another one like her. From australia❤
Those entities residing there are just waiting . Because the longer the wait the hungrier they are . This place needs some serious deep spiritual cleanse
Around 7:53 when you ask if there's anyone around to give you a sign, it seems like there's something in the reflection of the window and then it's crazy because you mention about how you dont know if it's your nerves, but over towards the window didn't feel right
As for living with someone with bipolar. The infamous video of elevator. My dad when he was alive. He bipolar. How she acted is how he acted from time to time. 😞
Phew, such long hallways and so many rooms, it’s huge, imagine being lost in there or being chased. It’s creepy seeing the rooms empty. Excitement and anxiety share the same physical processes, btw, I think that’s why they can flip so easily.
Imagine making a manequin looking like Peet, and you place it at his own window, so when he is in the hotel, he sees himself in his apartment and freak out.
I explored the hotel about 6 months ago. We paid the security guard $500 to let the 4 of us in for the night I must say the vibes in the place is crazy. You always have a feeling of being watched & followed. You will hear voices, doors closing & see stuff in the corner of your eye all the time. That place made all 4 of us truly believe in the paranormal
As a former night receptionist working alone in many hotels I understand people creep out but always take a good maglite torch with you when you are in abandoned places like this.
I get that. It lights up things properly. Then if you see a ghost you can blind them with it & if you see a regular intruder you can blind them then bean them in the head with it.
Wait I've got some questions. Why did you suddenly have to stop and leave? Also who was the mystery person that stopped to talk to you on the way out of the hotel? I feel like you just left me with more questions.
The saying, "k¡ll myself" is pretty common nowadays but it is creepy when Peet said it at 9:05 like dude...not a good thing to say when you're inside that hotel
It doesn’t even make sense for him to make that statement. It’s a little weird how he zooms in there’s these ominous green and black glowing hues around the light too. Kinda like the Elisa lam video…
I was a Security guard at the Cecil from 2005 to 2018 when they closed it that place was definitely the creepiest place I've worked during the day the hotel wad fine and normal but when night hits the place just turns into the hotel transylvania that's why I hated the night shifts but the day they found elisa lam was the worst I remember that like it was yesterday evacuating some of the guest and all the cops to this day I still feel like the ghosts of the cecil are still with me I wish I was sill a guard I would've totally let you in!
Omg your so brave to do that . I was scared watching you in there . now I’m spooked lol it’s 1:42am here .I’ve been outside the Cecil before lots of sketchy people around there and that was in the day time . I wouldn’t be caught walking around there at night no freaking way it was bad enough during the day lol a family member friend lives right across from the Cecil and she posts crazy stuff happening at night out front of there might be the same building you live in lol
4 Things you should definitely notice in this video: 1] negative vibes...gut feeling never lies.... 2] the smell might be sulfur... paranormal investigators stated that this smell indicates to paranormal activity.. 3] notice his camera? Yes...in some scenes it had these colorful lines? Yes if you guessed it you're correct, lights and electronics glitch near paranormal matter...8:58 4] all of those sounds!! REMEMBER HE WAS *ALONE?* ON THOSE FLOORS? So basically the conclusion is that this hotel is FREAKIN HAUNTED!
Yes, idk how sitting or still cameras work, in 1419, when he was on the floor the camera was sitting still in front of him the camera moved to the left?? You can see it if you look towards the window. Not sure if he did it? You’re correct on everything w paranormal.
Does anyone else feel terrified just by watching this? Im a little late on this video but so glad I got the chance to see it! I’m half way through the video, let’s hope I don’t faint before reaching the end! 🥳🥳
The floor where you were hearing things was the "party" floor! There's a previous drug addict named Bobby who opens and closes doors like he's going in them to party with other spirits.
Awsome was just passing by this hotel without knowing anything & immediately took a pic n googled its history thats how strong the energy was/is would love to stay there too btw
That hotel has seen some of the darkest parts of human nature... I'd be creeped tf out if I were there... thank God he didn't try the elevator game. My anxiety would've gone through the roof.
Thank you, Peet, for making this incredible video! Your bravery and courage to go where you went is commendable! I noticed your cross earring, so I'm sure your faith helped. For those of you who are not familiar with the Richard Ramirez story, I thought I would share my experience in the summer of 1985. A series of horrible murders began happening. Richard would break in peoples' homes through open windows and kill people in their beds. It was awful! After 13 murders, everyone was afraid! I was a young mother of 2 boys, aged 2 & 3. We lived in North Long Beach at the time. A friend of mine from church would meet with me every Wednesday morning to pray for our families, the community and other prayer needs. One Wednesday morning we met, and all we could talk about was "The Night Stalker", Richard Ramirez. We were both so burdened about him! I couldn't sleep at night I was so worried about my babies. My prayer partner was the same. She had small children, too. Everyone was afraid! It bothered us that we couldn't feel safe in our homes. But what could we do to stop him? We decided to pray that God would make him turn himself in. So we did and we felt God's peace as we prayed. At that time there was a Christian radio station who had a talk show on Wednesday afternoons that had a big following. I called the station that afternoon and asked if they would announce to all the churches who met on Wednesday nights to pray that he would turn himself in. They announced it. That was Wednesday, August 28. Then Saturday morning, August 31, Richard Ramirez goes into an Hispanic neighborhood and starts running down the street doing damage to parked cars. People started running out of their homes and chasing him. They finally caught him and began beating him. The police came and arrested him. If you ask me, Richard Ramirez turned himself in. All Glory to God!!! And God bless you, Peet, for your awesome sense of humor that makes us laugh during these very stressful and evil times!
You just interpreted the situation as though he had turned himself in. Don't forget that your god forgot to spare the 13 people who got massacred before your little prayers
I lived in La Crescenta that summer and worked in Eagle Rock. I didnt know all that was going on so close to me! I had to ride the bus every day, and also visited LA a lot. Im glad I wasnt there at night.
Dare I say you were more brave to do this not because of the paranormal, but because of the risk of contracting bed bugs. They had been reported there before shutting down, they can live up to 18 months give or take without a meal, and all it would have took was one to get inside your shoe, pants leg, backpack, etc. They're basically vampires that can only be killed with extreme heat exposure for 45+ minutes. Wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.
I always wondered about Elisa Lam, and the viral video of her peaking out from the elevator, which lead much later to me listening to David Palides talking about her being found in the water tank and the fbi vault files revealing a virus in the water (before she disappeared) with the reversal of her name! Lam Elisa or some crazy thing David talked about. He does the investigations/research on missing people from national parks, mostly young men who go missing, etc. Anyway. Kind of heard a Timothy Speed Levitch "The Cruise" documentary sound there in your voice for a second...you kind of reminded me of him. AND, I'm currently living in an old hotel/converted to apartments which is registered as an historical landmark and categorized under the Department of Interior/National Parks category somehow. This is a Pearl Properties location AND, I have no idea what it all means exactly, but I did experience something bizarre, which made me seek out similar things as you presented today. AND, what is it about 'residential-ish hotels"
Good for you Peet! So happy you were finally able to get in. Maybe they will let you go in again at a later date, so you can check out the other rooms you wanted to. And thank you for sharing it with us.
The floor defently got creepier by level. I could feel it trough the screen and a lot of energy kinda made me say please get out of there. Hope you didnt bring anything harmful with you out
Are you a paranormal investigator!? Love your shorts with Mom. She seems lovely! If you ever find yourself in Southern Ontario, look up SPIES out of Brantford! Martin & I (Wendy) would absolutely love to show you how to investigate with just the recorder on your phone! 🥰💗
I claim zero negative energy from this video and may everyone watching this video and their families be safe and protected from all spirits and entities, whether positive or negative
I feel like the spirits would actually appreciate him coming and recognising them. But omg you are so brave Peet I would never have the courage to explore a place like that. 😳😳😳
No, there weren't just ghosts there. There were other things too, and they were not happy. In fact, it was incredibly dangerous for him to sit in that room.
Funny how your investigation got cut short before you could climb the fire escape to see if Elisa Lam was really able to access the rooftop through that. I really wanted to see that. You are a brave man, I will give you that. Try not to tempt death too much. 😊
You are incredibly brave to go in to the hotel alone!!!! Glad you are safe and made out just fine and got what you wanted from being so curious for so long.
Omg. I thought it was just a normal hotel. This is so creepy. And you should really congratulate yourself for being brave. I'm gonna watch your other videos now.
I can ONLY IMAGINE the excitement you felt going in! I made sure while in L.A I made a stop at the Cecil hotel not once but TWICE & I was soooooo excited being there. Even tho I was at the door it was a great experience. I was at the entrance door trying to sneak a peek inside because someone had just went up & pulled the doors open & just so happen when I was gonna go the security guard came out & SCARED THE LIVING CRAP OUTTA ME! He didn’t do anything I just didn’t know there was someone in there so yeah he made the trip even more fun lol I’m dying to go back again!!!! You’re lucky!!!
“I was inside of you” 🤣 what a moment!!!! You’re so awesome and brave Peet, happy for you! Your soul is so pure, if anything I really hope maybe some of the lost spirits were able to see the light as you were in their presence. Take care beautiful human!
