Finally I Played This GORGEOUS OCEAN GAME | ABZU - Part 1 

Before starting Giant Squid, I had the honor of working on two games with the talented team at thatgamecompany. I was the art director on Flower and Journey during my time there. I learned a lot about the technical details of how games are made, but more importantly how games have the power to create meaning in people’s lives. With Giant Squid and with ABZÛ, I wanted to take what I had learned further. ABZÛ is an underwater exploration game without much in the way of precedent. All of our energy has been devoted to solving tricky new problems that the design has presented, in an effort to make an experience that will have a moving effect on our players. We have had to figure out how to simulate thousands of dynamic fish, design a very unique character control scheme and camera system, and take an unconventional approach to rendering underwater environments, among many other things

It is like Journey but underwater. And I love it

I realllyyyy want them to make a collab season, imagine all the cosmetics and the storylines!! It would be so cool especially if they added an area thats similar to the area of Season of the Abyss

Abzu has always had a special place in my heart, it is the game that helped me find sky, and the main game I played on my Playstation 4 when I was younger. Eventually, I forgot about the game. But when I was looking for a new game to play on my switch, I found Sky. I thought “Hey, this reminds me of Abzu! I should try it.” I absolutely love Sky, but Abzu is just….breathtaking. Not to mention, I have always loved games about the sea/ocean. Abzu was the game that helped me find that out 😂

Oh, btw, I think it's important to tell you at least one thing or two: - the special spirit water is actually based on a real type of water, brine. It's basically extremely salty water which, due to the higher density, can form pools of it underwater. - there are more things you can interact with. For instance, the shark statues! - this is all based on the myth of Abzû, the waters that are the origin point of all life.

This is so cool!! I love learning about underwater stuff so this is just so beautiful. Hope it can come to mobile soon!
