Thanku so much Sir… It will be really helpful for all the Aspirants who are going to write the exam in up coming days… Thanku for this video 🙂😇 Love from India 🇮🇳
Always very insightful to go through your videos. Can you please make a video on the new scoring system for the GRE, now that you might have more diagnostic reports and can gauge the penalty and bonus thing. Would help a lot, thank you
here it is for quant: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uIucvy2-ekM.html and here for verbal: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V0_9THz1Wnw.html
Thank you for all your effort. Your content is absolutely incredible. I'm a big fan. I was wondering what you would recommend to someone whose scores in practice tests are suddenly declining? My test is nearing, and suddenly my scores are dropping, and I don't know what to do. Thank you so much in advance!
Hey Sana, Thanks a lot. So you shouldn't do more practice or mocks. Simply keep revising/reviewing and analysing your mistakes in these last few days. Sometimes people burn out by taking too many mocks or doing too many new questions and they ignore revision and analysis of their mistakes which is extremely important when it comes to getting a good score. So in these last few days that you have left, just focus on what you have already done and keep going through it making sure that you revise everything to the core.
Sir, would you by any chance be able to advise on how to ensure one only gets the Medium section the second time in Quant? I struggle with the hard section and always tank my score. I would have a higher score if I could answer more questions correctly in the Medium. Thank you in advance
Your experience was really invaluable! Any advice on how to improve on verbal score for first time test takers? I need to improve around 20-30 marks on that section to achieve a good score
Awesome to hear this sir. Happy to hear that long passages are finished now. We can always count on you for valuable information. 1)Also please suggest how to improve understanding of sentence structure, like you said they are giving harder sentence structures for answer options. 2)Please do a detailed video about how to take GRE in home.
Thanks a lot :) 1) Yes so Magoosh video lectures supplemented by ETS questions plus the PPP mocks questions from old GRE are a really invaluable resource for understanding and practicing the complex structure. So just stick to that. Also you can do gregmat if you like as I also love it as a verbal resource. 2) Yup will be doing that soon. Thanks
Sir thank you so much. What do you think is Manhattan 5lb redundant? So should i go through it.? I have completed manhattan 6 books of math. What should be my next step. Please reply 🙏
Thank you for making this video. My experience is absolutely the opposite, I had easier verbal even easy RCs and harder quant section, even one IQ level math I think on pattern recognition and a fairly lengthy sequence problem, which I have never seen in mocks or so. Got std deviation and long DIs, I believe I answered a DI correctly but still now I can't comprehend the question. I had less than a month of prep time overall and am first-time test taker. Got 160 Q, 150 V.
I can only remember I had 4 RC passages. I had mainly taken preparation for Quant and didn't even know much about Verbal.@@er.jasonpandit2428sages but I think that is the standard
Thanks for this video , i wanted to ask whether we should do custom problems from magoosh ? Are they worth it or should we just stick to video lessons and practice directly from ets books and manhattan 6 guides ? Thank you.
01:27 Taking the shorter version of the GRE at home was a fantastic and seamless experience. 02:54 No data analysis questions in the second section, easy questions in the first section. 04:21 The GRE verbal section had shorter passages and longer answer options. 05:48 The difficulty level of the first section has slightly increased in terms of time to solve questions. The emphasis on vocabulary was less. 07:15 The GRE exam had sections with different levels of difficulty, but I finished them ahead of time. 08:42 The test was easy and the exam was completed before the allotted time. 10:09 The GRE exam is challenging but important for personal growth and teaching improvements. 11:36 The Home Based GRE exam experience was enjoyable and less exhausting than the old GRE exam. Crafted by Merlin AI.
Thank You very much for this detailed video. I have a question, as university deadlines are approaching, I don't have much time so ideally how much time it would take me to prepare for GRE and get the best score?
Most welcome. So you should just go over all the 8 Manhattan GRE strategy guides and do all the ETS official guides followed by power prep mocks. For vocab just do Magoosh basic and common and that is it. Make sure you also look at this video as well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ia591bHd22o.html
Hello Sir, I was really waiting for an opinion video on the new GRE and here it is! This helps a lot. My GRE is on the 11th of October. Currently, I am giving the Manhattan prep GRE tests, I am done with 4 an averaging about 319. I have 2 more tests remaining. But, the 4 which I gave, I have given the full length version just to prepare myself that way. So should I give the remaining 2 of the shorter version or should I keep practicing the longer version because anyway practicing 4 hrs for a 2 hrs test would eventually prove to be beneficial? Just let me know what you think.
Hello, yes I am fine with this approach as it over prepares you which is a good thing. Moreover, you can take those two mocks as well a week before your exam just to get the real flavour as well. Good luck and do share your scores and opinion of the exam.
@@talhaomer167 thankyou for the response, I appreciate it! Yes I will definitely share my scores and opinions! I have also purchased the power pre tests, keeping them for the last.
While booking date for new GRE do we have any option as to select for the shorter test or will all the test dates after 22nd September be considered for shorter gre?
Hi sir, I'm from south india and i dont knw hindi it would be really great if you make these contents in english it will have a better reach to wider audience
Thank you very much for the video and the tips. You said you didn't get questions from combination, permutation, standard deviation and those you mentioned. So please what kinds of questions do you get when you took the test? I'll be anticipating your response. Thanks. I'm from Nigeria.
Hello, great content. There is one question from my side. I have been averaging a score of 320 with the mock tests and I wanted to ask what needs to be done more with these last few 10-15 days to make a jump of 7-8 marks more. (158 V 162 Q). I will work on my quant as well but is there something I can do for verbal which will get my score to above 160. Thanks
Hello - so last few days I always recommend taking timed sets for practice and revising/reviewing/analysing all the mistakes that you have been been making. But focus on taking timed practice sets for both quant and verbal just like in GRE. make sets of 12-15 questions and do them in the allotted time.

Sir if you speak in English you’ll obviously get more views. As a person from south India I can’t understand Hindi. Can you post these again with translation. And also every GRE test takers will be knowing English and would appreciate it if you do it.

Hello sir. Thank you for this video. Sir I want to know what would you recommend for reading passages in English to be able to tackle, understand and comprehend complex sentences if they occur in exam. What can be referred to for that? Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much Sir for the insightful video. I have a question regarding Home Based GRE. I have heard that it's no more accepted by majority of the universities (specially top universities) now as they only encouraged Home Based in COVID times. Is it true? And did it affect in our profile for admission scrutiny? Thanks!
Sir ap ye itni sari tests kesa attempt kr paa rha hn mena tu check kiya that tha GRE costs 220 dollars me tu kbhi itni costly test dena afford hee nh kr skta kya koi or tareka hn sir is test ki fee maaf krwana ka?

I gave old GRE in August and got a bad score of 301 (V -140😭 and Q-161). After seeing many people telling that Verbal was easy in new GRE, I am scared. I am worried that where I'll get admits as I had bad verbal score. I'm not in the situation of retaking too as I lost the practice. Is 301 a bad score or average? The universities I'm planning to apply to are of safe to moderate levels based on admit predictors.
So as long as the programs that you are applying to are ok with a 300+ being a safe score for them, I would not encourage you to take the GRE again. Instead put your heart out on the applications/SOPs/resume and crafting the best application for your grad school!
AOA sir.Can i took test on april ?like generally deadlines to apply foreign scholarships are in april,so can I take test later and upload my result?is it possible?bcz i can't attempt test in October.
Sir are 2 months enough for GRE preparation. I have done bachelor's in mathematics. If I prepare 2-3 hours daily for 2 months would it be enough. Alos could you please tell the source for new GRE prep material? Thanks
Even i took the gre at home test but the application just automatically shut down anf they said i have either completed or terminated the exam , aslo i made proctor u as well as the ets they said to me that i was using a unauthorised software please suggest what to do
Hello sir, I'm from Ghana and can't really understand the hindi, i appreciate the work you do here. I only have few questions since its hard following the hindi language. I can only afford books. What books do you think i need, im not really good at math so i need extra focus. What sort of books and work books do i need to ace the gre.
I have given my Shorter GRE on 27 sep 2023 at test centre I have always got 315-325 in my ETS official mock tests but in this I also got long passages in verbal and quant was also a bit hard and unusual from the questions that have been asked from before and my score was 144 V and 156 Quant
I wrote the shorter gre on 25th September. I got 322( 165 v, 157 q) Verbal was so easy and quant was lengthy. The questions in quant were not difficult, but their lengthness combined with my poor time management hurt my score
@onlysmalls1042 they were easy to understand, but to decipher the question or to complete the calculations, they took quite a bit of time ,especially if you got stuck anywhere
@@johnsamuel1999 Oh okay thanks for that. And one more question please. How easy was the verbal part? Concerning the vocabulary aspect, was it easy vocabulary or something not too easy, maybe I have to learn more word's or what do you think according to your own test. And also concerning the Reading Comprehension part, how easy was it? Thanks for answering my questions. I'll be anticipating.
@onlysmalls1042 the RCs were all short . But you still have to be careful while reading. I noticed some of the answers were intentionally worded to sound incorrect at first glance , but were actually correct. You have to understand the meaning of the phrase or sentence. This for is you answering questions like ," which line matches the meaning the sentence in line 4 etc". Vocab questions were surprisingly simple. Just do the magoosh wordlist or any decent 500 to 600 word list
Sir i am aiming for a 160+ in my verbal, i only read magoosh word list so far which im not completely satisfied with, i did read your 1000+ words list and it was very beneficial but still not able to cross that 160 barrier (got stuck at 153-157), what would you suggest for me to do in my final phase of prep?
Sir, can I give the exam using Google Chrome browser? ETS is asking for guardian browser but testing equipments are not getting detected whenever I use guardian. So, can I use chrome browser?
@talhaomer167 Another one. If one is going for the above program. Which Rankings to consider for deciding B Schools (MBA's, B Schools or MFin's). Thank you so much!!!!
I gave the shorter gre daybefore yesterday and got a score of 311(165Q 146V). Should I give it another chance as my CGPA is 3.15/4(currently in the 7th sem of my Btech CS)
@@Varunk47 Hi Varun, to get accepted in top 100 universities in the world, some work experience, research papers and your SOP plays crucial role. Your GRE scores are "good" and to make it up for your GPA, if you have some co-curricular or extra curricular activities, they will also help you.
@@45_rishabhtripathi65. I have some doubts can u pls tell me. How many months it takes to prepare for u gre bcoz I'm going to take next month gre test bcoz I'm not getting confidence and also I have a deadline to apply for University. Will u pls tell me
@@srinijachowdharykv2939 I also have my GRE schedule for this month end. There is no "time" to call yourself prepared. There will always be more to prepare. So its better, you practice from 5LB and Princeton books and give mock tests every recuring week to keep a tap on your progress.
