In all this time I have given you a fairly varied range of mechanical keyboards, I haven't yet touched on higher-end products but, for better or worse, I have presented you with the common characteristics of these really fun objects to make and use. Were shown many colors, switches, cables, knobs, key covers, boxes and so on. All these factors have been scrupulously examined and the majority of users can be satisfied with what I wanted to offer. However, there is one discomfort that comes with every video: the format.
Be careful though, I'm not referring to the size, which is usually identified with the percentage. What I mean is the writing method, or that aspect that characterizes the legends, shapes and layouts of the keys based on a specific language.
For what I have shown so far, with one exception, I have come across the format ANSI US, or United States. Consequently, many of you have turned up your nose because it is clearly a limitation, rightly worrying about how you can add certain characters in daily use. Indeed, accented vowels and various symbols such as the degree Celsius, the paragraph and the euro currency are exempt. However, this does not mean that the latter cannot be typed: the difference between formats lies mainly in the shapes and arrangements of the keys: the ones that stand out the most to the eye are Enter and Shift.
So, in summary, Italian is fully usable on an ANSI keyboard, it is simply not to our liking because the legends we want to use are not physically printed on the keycaps but in the PC, if the input method is Italian, the characters in use will be processed in the Italian language. In essence it is only a graphic, non-functional discomfort. Now I don't want to elaborate, this content has another purpose, even if the context is the same. Now, this doubt may arise for the common user: "I still see many keyboards that have the characters in Italian, why are you talking to me all this?". A more than sound question, because in fact this limitation of the press doesn't make much theoretical sense. It is in practice that there is difficulty on the part of the manufacturing companies, because the technology par excellence on the market is the membrane one and this disturbance only occurs in mechanics that are niche (even if lately they are repopulating). Therefore, for the keyboards that are normally purchased, which are found in schools, shops and offices, this problem is not encountered, however for those that I present to you on RU-vid yes, because they are part of a more contained market.
As I anticipated at the beginning of the speech, in the videos published there was an exception concerning the KBParadise V60 Nordic. In addition to the keyboard itself, I also proposed ISO keycaps but I was unable to find them in our language. Even then I told you about the Coffeekeys project, the Italian shop where you can get all the components for mechanical keyboards, obviously including the latter.
The initiative of Matteo, the owner of the business, was to open a group-buy (translating "buying group"), in order to make this much sought-after ISO-IT available. After more than a year (just look at the date when I posted the first collaborative video), here is the project was completed through Tai-Hao's set of keycaps, called Pine Green.

THE BOOK ON RU-vid
