The term no real person involved( nrpi) first said in 2x9 is a callback to the term " no humans involved" used by the police to describe murdered sex workers or poor black people. The thing that was supposed to make Kendall turn was the killer line but Jeremy Strong suggested that they added Logan saying " nrpi" about the boy that died, proving that he knew about the cruises scandal and didn't care. That's the actual moment that made him turn on Logan
When I first saw the last scene of the finale, my jaw was on the floor and I paced around my living room for 5 minutes just processing what I had just seen 😂 the music during that moment is so fucking epic as well
I think that the smile on Logan's face is not of pride per se but actually something more evil. By deciding to "kill" his dad, Kendall denies the possibility of getting out of the family drama( even if that meant going to prison). Logan wants his children to be trapped, living to either want to please him or destroy him but ultimately failing.
These last two episodes truly shows the greatness of this show. That long wait for season 3 was hell especially because of the COVID delays. Excited that season 4 is around the corner.
This episode was full with inspiration of Jesus’s last moments with his disciples. The kiss Kendall gives to Logan in the cheek represents the Kiss of Judas. As the dinner after that, represents The Last Supper. An interesting fact.
literally when first time watched 2x10 "father for his sins deciding to sacrifice his firstborn son" I was like "what kind of greek tragicomedy is this?!" season 1 was really good, but season 2 is a masterpiece to quote the famous cringe-rapper: "L to the OG" xD also, hearing your thoughts on Tom and Shiv it would be fun watching you watch s3
What Shiv did in episode 9 got her a tonnnnnn of scumbag of the year points. Even with all the horrible men in this show, that was extremely uncomfortable to watch. There are the added layers of her showing up in that designer suit that was expensive AF, extremely manicured and well taken care of vs that woman who wasn't. There are subtle things like that which make this show really good. Episode 10 is probably my favorite of the entire show. I was so happy Kendall didn't let his dad bully him into going to prison for him.
Ep 10 was also my fav. I 'forgot' to continue to watch the show for a season and a half because I kinda wanted it to end right there on a high note. A bigggg F OFF to Logan. Like watching game of thrones and deciding to turn it off after a big win for Khaleesi or Robb Stark. "Yep! Go you! Story over 💕"
Jimmy, isn't this show fantastic?! I was waiting for you to watch this episode. Yeah, you're lucky you didn't have to wait a whole year. I cannot believe I have wait until April 2023 I think, for the next season. Kendall probably turned on hearing Logan say that he was not a killer. Wow, how could a father turn on his son this way. I love this show and still watch my favorite episodes over and over. It does not get old.
Great reaction For those who dont know, every series finale of succession is named after a line in the same poem( Dream Song 29 by John Berryman which talks about a highly depressed and suicidal man named Henry who carries a burden ( Kendall), s1: nobody is ever missing s2: this is not for tears and s3: all the bells say( the title excluded the rest of the line in the poem which is all the bells say: too late) excited to see s4 finale title
Ken decided right when Logan told him he is not a killer. This goes two ways: one being father doesn't really believed that Ken did that kid. The second is: oh really, I think I am, dad. I think, Logan is proud of him anyway. It's a gutsy move after all. Giving he wishes some of his children is a killer. It will have consequences, but he's pleased I can tell.
So here’s the routine. I watch a couple episodes, turn around and watch Jimmy. Then repeat. Your reaction is what convinced me to keep going through the series.
I love the Stewy line you included about how "theyre wanting to make slightly more money on their dollar and thats all this is about" as a reminder that yes. All of this is about making impossibly wealthy people more impossibly wealthy. And yet the show makes you feel like it's life and death, like it actually matters. I like Stewy because he gets that. His money IS as important to him as life and death, but he at least knows that.

What's so frustrating about Roman is he has good instincts, and the balls to be a good CEO, but he's such a fuck up that he never lives up to his potential. Even when he's probably the one Roy Logan liked the most.

Find it so funny that the company is in crisis mode because of covered up sexual assaults on cruise ships (and worse), and Shiv thinks it's a grand idea to have a threesome with an employee on a ship.
Just finished Season 2 today and I gotta say, it was a letdown after Season 1. Too many new characters and overall the stakes never seemed high. I want some tragedy. Karl should have been killed in the hostage scene. Or something like that. The whole season was just too happy and cheerful for me. Hopefully Season 3 matches Season 1.
When Kendall is told by Logan he is not a killer hence he cannot be CEO, that is when heart broken Kendall decides to prove his dad wrong. Hence causing Logan to start half smiling as Kendall throws him in front of the bus.
