Alcantara on the doors as well would have been nice. I am very pissed at my kona's cheap interior finish and this does not look much better. Either make a cheap car with cheap interior or a more expensive car with nice interior. The alcantara next to the plastic doors is like adding jewlery next to a turd
I love the ICE N-Line but would get the Limited because of the extra bells and whistles that only come in the Limited trim (U.S.). If this had those features in the EV trim then I may consider this but still like the Limited trim for the leather seats, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, and 360-degree cameras. Now if only they did include the spare tire or add it as a U.S. option. Still loving the Kona over the Toyota Corolla Cross hybrids. For the record, I'm driving a 2022 Kona Limited ICE now and will need another crossover this fall so maybe this 2025 EV will be sold in America by then?
I have the New Kona N-Line S 1.6 in the UK, Unfortunately we do not get the double roof spoiler, spare wheel (space saver or otherwise, not even as an option) or the built in dash cams (which I believe is an option in Korea) - lovely looking car in Red which hides the offset front charge port better than a lighter colour (should have been a central cover in my opinion). Would love it if they did an N version of the petrol Kona. Thanks for your reviews...
I think this looks like the best version of the new Kona so far. Not sure I would get this over the Ioniq 5 N-Line though. I still hope they make a full Kona N Electric with bigger battery, dual-motor, ~300 horsepower and can get close to 300 miles of range. That would be the most ideal specs IMO.
Great review as always! It looks odd for the charging port to be placed on one side at the front, but the black cladding on the port opening with this N Line makes it look a bit more discreet.
Indeed. Hyundai came up with all possibilities locating that port and that's the final one they've decided to go with. Some actually do like it, mostly who garage park their EVs.
Hyundai is missing the boat in the USA on the Kona line - no all wheel drive in electric and no hybrid at all. Also all wheel drive hybrid preferred for us in Northern states and Canada but not available in the KONA! Toyota's going to clean up in 2024 and 2025. They are limiting the engine options one every model and most everything will be hybrid - simplifying drive train options is a manufacturing and cost efficient bonanza!
Great video. I drive a 2022 Kia Seltos EX, US model and love it but I'm really eager to see what the 2025 Sportage and Seltos will look like. I watched your 2024 Kona video and you eluded to the 2025 Seltos looking a bit like the new Hyundai Kona, I'm really hoping for much improved NVA for the Seltos coming soon, hopefully!!! I like the Sportage as well but Kia is being really secretive about what it may look like in 2025, Fall of 2024 here in the United States...can't wait! Thank you for all your excellent, well done and thorough reviews from the vantage point of a daily driver!
The Australian spec Kona EV gets a space saver tire one of the few EV's that do actually most get the goo-kit. Not quite N-Line other than name unlike the Ioniq 5 N LIne which is definitely worthy of the N-Line badge. My Kona EV(top spec) is on order with light interior and light green exterior.
@@CarSceneKorea nope, it only really works on the sedans. I mean I saw a video where 2 n sedans did a time trial weaving in and out of cones, but I cringed when I saw the suv pull up, the design isn't really "aggressive" nor do the full n engines on these have the popping and cracking sounds of the sedans. Suvs only look cool when they are designed to be tough looking (like think of the headlights on isuzu suvs with the "angry" looking headlights) like how they design 4x4s, sporty just dosen't work for suvs
We are getting closer to getting and Electric N version of this car. We live in exciting times. I can’t wait to see a battle between the Ioniq 5 N and all other electric Performance hatches (Rivian R3X battle 😮)
Edit: I just saw it. It's cool but missing a little bit of N touches. But dang this is tough no car fits all my needs. This car is great but too weak! I didnt know that there was a ioniq5 N-line!!!
Love the kona electric but it's biggest problem for me is the rear camera it's constantly dirty and it's a shame it's not been sorted over all the generations
i have done 45,000 miles in this kona electric and i can promise you biggest fail is the camera on the car i can clean it and drive to my destination and i still can not see through the dirt it has collected my next car will be another kona or ioniq @@CarSceneKorea
Saludos y gracias
@@SamiPaju it stands no chance when I compare it to Model 3, especially after the face lift. Tesla is still ahead in terms of range, power, software and even the price...
Don’t buy any EV ,catch fires easily, expensive insurance, huge depreciation, go through tires quickly, because of extra weight, to heavy go through crash barriers very easily. Don’t ever buy any EV especially Hyundai, and Kia
