On a Scale 1-5 what do you think of our Yacht Name? 😝 Please don't include our Yacht Name in any of the comments to let other people find out by watching the video 🙏🏻🩵
Not so sure. Boaty McBoatFace was a tongue-in-cheek suggestion for a British polar exploration vessel that appealed to the public’s sense of the ridiculous. In the end, the vessel was named something eminently more appropriate (If you don’t know, look her up as she’s a fine vessel). Not entirely humourless, Boaty… became the name of an ROV. So Yatchy Mc… would have been both derivative and refer to an undersea vessel, which would have been entirely inappropriate and a slur on Bering’s admirable and obvious skills. Meanwhile, our videographers chose an excellent name for themselves. Bless her and all who sail in her.
Congrats Rico and Victoria...what an incredible origin story for the name. I especially like how it began with Victoria's mom and then the universe took over to name Bering82. It's perfect! 🥂 🎉
@@HQBergeron Hee hee, I just think an unbiased review / tour by a third party (with credentials in the business) would validate the product, they just need to make sure that there’s nothing breakable left out!
The most important thing is that you are happy with the name choice for your yacht. I certainly agree with your selection criteria that the name be one word (not too lengthy) and something that can be easily pronounced and spelled internationally. It’s easy to discern that you gave your name choice a lot of consideration. I’m excited to see a complete walkthrough and review when it is completed. The sea trials will also be amazing to see!! ⚓️
You guys absolutely deserve this as I said before cannot wait until you get your boat in the water for a final tour. I only wish I could be part of your crew.
I hope you realize just how a dynamic and important a team that you are. There are different frequencies in life. You guys resonate on the same frequency. The name you chose for you vessel has a smooth sound and a strong ring to it. I would say that it's in that same frequency that you guys resonate in. I look forward to seeing you guys give a tour of your Bering 82 when it's launched.
Love Old Ebbit's. It's my favorite restaurant in that part of DC. I've often met friends back in the raw bar there after shows. I think it's quite exciting and fitting that you confirmed the name of the boat there.
I still find it amazing too this day. Your a dj and marine biologist. Your young and starting your life. We follow you through your journeys. Then your married and a couple. But your love of boats and passion for it. Most of us will never own a yacht but we all daydream. We live our dreams and fantasies through you. In a sense we become family and friends. We continue to follow you both to see what new experiences we will discover and some of us follow your path. But there is still only 1 naughti only. Some of us hope to meet you someday. But in the end of all the videos on the RU-vid yours is the best! _________ Excellent Name. Now she just needs her paint job and start finishing her up. Have you ever imagined so many people following a boat build and seeing it on the water?
great name: this is going to sound kinda negative, however the Titanic was also said to be unsinkable. I think it could be misconstrued, as a representation of the boats durability, and strength at sea!
@@CreaPix Halloween fun, need not be limited to one night of the year... Rico-- get a pin-stripe suit and enjoy all the cigars you want!! A nice long black wig for Vic
I really like the name. It’s unique & commanding. As well, you have your own story behind it especially where it began with the conversation with your mom. Nice choice
The name.....I love it! It's beautiful. Thumbs up! 👍 When you put the name on the rear of the ship pick an equally beautiful font and do it in golden metal so that the light will reflect off it. In fact, I kinda like the font on the caviar label. If you copied that font on the ship would you all get into trouble? lol
5! I love the name and names that have a good story behind them. Congratulations. Now you will have to have this caviar on board for your guests on the charter. 😅
Just a quick suggestion on your website. On the Layout page, put a blue dot (somewhat transparent so as to not interfere with the underlying drawing too much) from where the "virtual rendering" was "taken from" with an arrow pointing in the direction that the "camera" was pointing - that are clickable, so that visitors can very easily click the "dot" and have the rendered image (pop up for viewing). That would really tie the Layout page with the Gallery page.
Hi Guys, I've been watching your progress since you decided on your yacht. It's been quite a while since you have posted a ship yard update. when can we hope to see the progress that has been made.
Congratulations, you named your boat with a word that 99.999% of people would have no idea what it means or any idea that it's actually a word. Good job
I have always felt that a vessel's name should have a significant meaning for her owners. The name you chose has already garnered deep emotion for you two, and it can not be anything but an expression of what you have together. The vessel will be blessed. Congratulations on this step in your continuing journey.
Hi from Greece. Nice and strong name! Just for the record, as other people already mentioned it, the word is ancient greek and no latin. Also, in modern greek the name of your boat without the final "s" means "together"! Also check greek island of Milos (Cyclades). Adamas is the name of harbour.
Congratulations on finally telling us the name I like it is very fitting and very cool, God bless you both and your vessel and have safe and marvelous journeys
I like the name. I can relate to all the reasons you cite. I also like names that are short enough to look great on the boat and roll off the tongue. Wiki makes following reference to Greek mythology... In Greek mythology, ****** (Ancient Greek: Ἀδάμαντα means 'unconquerable') was a Phrygian participant during the Trojan War. I like the notion of 'unconquerable'.
@@NautiGuys Sure. I figured it is announced. If they are reading this they surely have made it to the part of the video that reveals the name. I think the suspense is over.
God of conquest Adamas is a Greek god of conquest and a member of the Twelve Gods of Olympus. He possesses supernatural strength, durability, and endurance. Adamas wields a powerful scythe and has a floating fortress. His rebellion against Zeus ultimately led to his presumed demise.
Lovely, strong name. As a musician, I was familiar with the name as the top of the Ovation guitar line. Off topic, did I miss an episode on boat color(s) and interior palette?
