@@kkwabena6004basically you don’t need to be academically smart or have any special qualifications to be a judge. The only criteria is a qualified lawyer who has served at the bar for more than 5 years. In fact most lawyers run away from being judges because of financial reasons. Judges can’t practice as lawyers and for that matter need to be paid by the government. Lawyers feel that they can make far more money than being judges so most judges accept that appointment after they feel like they’ve made a lot of money and are retiring from going to court. Yoni Kulande recently received appointment to the supreme courts as a judge even though he had not practiced as a judge at the lower courts. His immense experience made them appoint him as a Supreme Court judge without starting from the lower courts. Most ignorant people feel that Doormahene is overly educated because he’s a judge 😂. There are a lot of lawyers who are far ahead of these judges in terms of education but have never accepted to be judges. Otumfuo has more great lawyers from first class universities like Harvard, Yale etc. example is Nana Prof Susubribi Krobea Asante, the Omanhene of Asokore. He’s the most decorated Ghanaian lawyer alive today having worked as lead lawyer for the United Nations, commonwealth and many other world organizations. He was the brain behind Ghana’s constitution having served as the chairman of the committee who drafted it. He’s also chairman of the legal committee of the national house of chiefs which Doormahene is even a junior member.He’s a Yale University professor of law . Those guys don’t even talk but this village lawyer talks anyhow.
