This was written by Jun Esaka and approved as canon by Mashashi Kishimoto.
A manga adaptation of Sasuke Retsuden began publication in October 23, 2022. It received an anime adaptation for the Boruto anime in 2023.

honestly it was animated much better than studio pierrot and so that it had to be animated with parts identical to the novel

I tried so hard that it took an year 😂 Yeah, it would be a lot better if studio pierrot used more budget and put a bit more love into making the anime.
