NEVER felt guilty because you can buy yourself pretty things. You work hard and you deserve to give back to yourself whatever makes you happy. I stop felt guilt for that a while back and life is much simpler. It is my money and I can spend it whatever I want. Regardless of what other people say or think. Friends and family will be happy for you, what neighbors say don't matter.

Omg! I received a RU-vid message that I was the winner of one of Shea Whitney’s used Chanel bags and was told to set up a connection so she could contact me for information to send me my bag. I did that and never heard back. I was so disappointed because I thought Shea changed her mind or something so I sent a couple more messages and heard nothing back. I was so sad but reading your comments I realize now it must have been a scam!

I’ve been here since your original diamond, then the second, and now the newest one. Honestly, these are the most helpful videos. So many of us save for one piece of luxury something, then when we get it it can be so disappointing if there's little flaws. Imagine working years to save for that Tiffany ring, then finding out it does that. Showing us your experiences helps your fans make better buying decisions and we love you for it

The discoloration is your body or your water reacting with the alloys in that particular piece. That ring may have a bit more of one certain alloy that your body reacts to causing discoloration. It happens. Been in the jewelry business for 30 years.

Exactly! I have some Tiffany pieces and the first day wearing the bracelet my wrist turned green so I went back to the store and was all chest puffed out and mad and then I found the above info and then felt silly. The bracelet doesn’t do that any longer

I think the reason the JUC ring is turning your finger black is because it needs cleaning with a jewelry cloth. There’s a gap in between the metal and your finger which causes more dirt to get trapped in there. I have a JUC ring as well. The black stuff will come off with the jewelry cloth.

The lower the gold carat content in your ring the greater the percentage of other alloys. Because it took years for the reaction on your skin to occur it’s likely not the ring per see but could be a reaction from a combination of the ring, the natural acids in your skin & your hand cream, soap, sanitiser, etc. The ring presses against your skin trapping the reaction unlike a loose bracelet or bangle.

I'm not into high end jewelry and I loved watching this. I'm very happy for you. I like jewelry I just don't (and can't) spend much. I found a $13 sterling silver bar necklace with a tiny cat on it on Amazon and I absolutely ADORE it. I haven't gotten compliments on it. No one seems to notice it. I don't think many people would want it. And I don't care. I never take it off and every time I look in the mirror and see it, it makes me so happy. My husband suggested we rescue a black cat almost 3 years ago and she's my soulmate. My husband is too. And the necklace makes me think of both. I hope your jewelry brings you as much joy as my necklace does. When it comes down to it the price it cost doesn't really matter. 💖💖💖

That’s a very meaningful necklace. Be sure you check the closure and the bail it hangs from periodically - you’d be heartbroken if you lost it. Better still, take it to a jeweler and have a good clasp put on and have them use silver solder on all the connections so if it catches in something, it won’t break as easily and you won’t lose it. It’s not horribly expensive. And, IMO, even inexpensive jewelry should be protected if it has meaning.

If you take any kt gold item and rub it against a jewelers cloth it WILL turn black, where does the black come from? The copper or silver (18K yellow gold: 75% gold, 12.5% copper, 12.5% silver.) reacting to your skin oils and sweat. Just make sure to keep your rings polished regularly, buy a very inexpensive Hagerty jewelry cleaning cloth and your pieces will always shine and you wont have a problem. Pure gold (24k) doesn't tarnish, it's the copper & silver that tarnish.

After about 15 years my 14K wedding band started to turn my skin black like Shea had. It was such a strange thing. I know that gold is mixed with other metals and that was what I was what I reacted to. This went on for about a month and then suddenly stopped. I am pretty sure it was stress changed my body chemistry. That or something I was getting into at work, and being a nurse no telling what it could have been.

I believe you've always been honest and transparent about your belongings, and I enjoy the way you share your thoughts about all products, whether accessible or luxurious. From my point of view, it's interesting to know about those expensive brand pieces, since I don't own any and I wonder if they are worth it or not. I see other gals spending soooo much money on costume made jewelry like a Channel plastic earrings that can cost $400 or $600 dollars.
