The idea of taking a picture in each room before drywall is mind blowingly awesome!!!!!! I am so geeked out by that idea. If I ever build new or do another major renovation I will have to do that. This video is worth that one piece of awesome. Thank you Trent!!
Touch your upper right hand screen corner Touch the ⚙️ gear icon Touch “advanced” or “quality” Select up to 2160 if your connection is good. 1080p looks pretty good on an iPad Cheers
I have an X3, I don't see worth the upgrade to 8K for me that just record for fun, but for a content creator it can make a difference for sure, is true that when you zoom in the X3 video the resolution goes down a lot.
Trent I really appreciate that you share information on very important very high quality equipment that makes your family and flying videos such an amazing experience that we all want to buy our own bush planes and really actually come out flying with you to be your wingman. Thanks again Trent for sharing this very important information that makes your videos & channel even more amazing for us to feel like we are there with you from the comfort of our couches. Trent Haters will hate, because they are usually just so jealous of your drive, motivation and success that they just can’t see and understand that you are sharing the business end of you’re videos and channel, because I really truly appreciate that you are showing and sharing with all of us how we could possibly make some content that could be as awesome as yours. Thanks again for taking the time to share this very valuable information and content with all of us.
You know, I don’t think I’ve rolled that long of a clip yet, I just hate logging through footage so I always keep my rolls short. I’ll have to test and get back to you
Trent, I have been wanting to fly for a long time now. The reason being that I have not pushed forward on getting a pilots license. I had a great pilot friend die from being pushed to three different airports in ohio. He not only died, his two passengers died on final also. He had a ifr rating. They ran him out of fuel on his third final!
Trent, was that the Truckee river you were float fishing? Cool camera, great looking video. What, little go carts? Man, you've a lot of toys, well done sir!
Would have been cool to see a side by side of the quality. My two biggest questions when hearing about “mo’ pixels yo!” from the manufacturers are always: 1) How much has the actual sensor increased? 2) Can the optics actually support that pixel count? Looks like a great camera though. I might have to bite the bullet at some point 😬
The X3 was ok. (got it because of you Trent)! I also got the One RS 1" edition with the Letica lens and it was amazing but image quality has dropped off to the point I have to send it back for service. Less than a year old and does not get used that much at all.
Hi Trent - I have an X3 mounted on strut of Cub and have been very satisfied. Only issue is with the remote. It seems to break lock with the camera. Have you tried the remote with the X4? If so, any better? Thanks
How's the footage look for use as keyed backgrounds? 8K should be where that becomes properly possible, putting the right direction footage in the background regardless of which way the main camera points.
When you stated that the current video is filmed in 4k, I paused my download and selected 2160p to see what the majority of your audience sees. It took Hughesnet 5 minutes to download 20 seconds of your video. I can only reasonably view your content at 480p with buffering. Want to talk about the "Digital Divide"? Yeah, it's real
*_I have a lens guard on my DSLR. The lenses are in the thousand plus dollar range so it only makes sense not just for protection, but requires less cleaning of the lens as well. It's a simple insurance policy._*
You know how in your Idaho backcountry videos your always going to Jeff’s place what is the name of the airstrip I want to land there in my flight simulator
Trent, I would be honored and happy to help you build your next editing rig. Not sure if your an Apple or PC guy, but I would love to lend my expertise.
Hey Trent, how do you record audio in the cockpit / on the radio? Wanting to film some content in the 185, but don't know where to start. (this video is too convincing I'm buying the X-4 lol)
Great info Trent. Really cool piece of kit. Do you have a link to your video on the attachment / clamps you use to connect the selfie stick to the struts and the internal view from the cockpit where the horizon moves but the camera stays in place?
Unbelievable technology! I’m speechless… wow My disappointment is that your actual video content was so limited that it’s very hard not to pretend we know this was just an add.
Are there in-flight audio plugs for the X3 / X4 currently? I usually use my iphone 15 to capture audio and mix in gopro and x3 footage, but if I could use my x3 inside with audio attached and get an x4 for outside that'd be awesome
I bought one with your link. Looking forward to it. Are you using the bananasss tailwheel stinger? Does it work well with the TK1? I have the TK1 as well and am either going to buy the bananasss stinger or make my own.
Do you ever film audio with it? If sho what equipment do you need to do that to be able to film inside the plane. I know they sell an audio adapter, but do you then need an additional cord or adapter?
but after YT get through with it, is it really 8K or even 4K, and you are aware the 360˚ video is really hated, I know, I post a lot and catch hell for it. So, you get to edit stuff out of it, basically being stuck with whatever your screen capture software resolves to produce the final video.... sigh.... but it does shoot better video than the Max and has to have better battery life...
Trent I see a couple of utubers have a camera that when we watch the content we can manipulate what we want to see. We actually can move our view 360 degrees. Will this camera do that. Pretty neat flying through the mountains seeing everything you as the pilot sees
Yes, you can export that video in premiere at least with the option "Video is VR" turned on and when you upload to youtube, it will have the option to pan around and everything.
Trent, when was the last time you looked at whatever camera you shot this on? I noticed some weird pixel glitches (don't know how else to explain them), although it may be a function of RU-vid. I don't know.
Great review! Hoping you have time to answer a couple of questions. I now have the X3. Has worked fine from the cockpit. I really want to mount it on my wing (low wing). Mounting vertically on my wing won't disturb the air and make my plane harder to fly? If it doesn't negatively effect flight I'm going to grab an X4 for the outside and use the X3 on the inside. And also how are you getting headset audio to your camera?
You can mount it in any orientation you want, the camera knows which way is up so just put it in the way that creates the least drag. For cockpit audio when I run it inside my airplane I use a cockpit audio cable from NflightCam and then use the mic adapter for the X4. Hope that helps 🤙
@@TrentonPalmer It does help, but the only way I can mount on my wing is straight up. It will be forward towards the leading edge. I'll get great views forward and down, and also partly to the rear and the cabin of my plane. My plan would be to utilize my landing light bolt to attach a 1/4" mount. Then just screw the camera on. That's my concern. Will mounting like that disturb the air as to make my plane dangerous?
@dh-flies I wouldn’t think so but you’d want to do some test flights with it to confirm. On my plane I can hang a OneWheel off my wing strut and not even feel it there but your plane may be totally different.
