FINALLY Watching HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX *reaction/commentary* 

I just wanna say, looking back on this movie it probably is in my top 3 now. Like it acc was so good and I was just so frustrated with Umbridge and how much Harry and everyone was constantly beaten down BUT wow, this movie is next level

The character development of Rebecca no longer being team Voldemort is what I needed in life.

Ginny is, in fact, powerful. People tend to underestimate her, because honestly movies didn’t do her character good. But I love her

Imelda Staunton did an amazing job playing a character who was more hated than the story's main villain. The fact that Umbridge was more hated than Voldemort himself makes the scene where she gets carried away like firewood by the centaurs that much more satisfying. Also, when I first saw Grawp, I thought he looked like the illustrated kid on the cover of MAD Magazine

fun facts - 1. In the book the dementors suck out your happy memories and leave you with nothing but the bad ones but since dudley has never wanted for anything or been denied anything when the dementors attack dudley hes forced to relive his memories and he sees what an asshole he is and from that day on he tries to be nice to harry he even leaves a cup of tea outside harrys door but harry steps on it when he goes to leave and interprets it as a cruel prank unfortunately 2. right before the centaurs appear umbridge says that the ministry kept saying that they needed to silence harry but she was the only one who did anything about it revealing that shes the one who sent the dementors after harry 3. the squib lady in the beginning actually watched harry as a kid she was his babysitter and would watch him when the dursleys would go out and harry didnt like going over to her house she did this on purpose so they would keep sending him over and she could keep an eye on him she knew they wouldnt let her watch him if her enjoyed going to her house 4. bellatrix, nariscsa (dracos mom) are sisters and they have another sister andromida shes tonks mom but she was disowned for marrying a muggle this makes tonks dracos cousins as as well as second cousins to sirius 5. danel radcliffs scream was so heartbreaking when sirius died that it made hermione and bellatrixs actors cry so they decided to mute it 6. since you mentioned dobby i want to tell you that hes actually working in the kitchens of hogwarts and gets paid 1 gallion a week dumbledoor offered more but dobby said 1 was enough he spends it on socks 7. the reason atrhur hasnt been in the underground is because minisrty workers have there own way in but since he was escorting harry they had to go in through the visitors entrance basically 8. nevilles parents were tortured to insanity by bellatrix and put into St Mungo's which is a hospital neville goes to visit regularly but they dont really recognize him also hes using his dads wand which is why hes not very good at magic but its broken durring the battle at the ministry and he gets a new one that chooses him and actually becomes good at magic 9. at one point in the book harry is extremly rude to umbridge and when mcgonagall hears about it she offers him a biscut 10. after sybil is fired dumbledoor hires the centaur who saved harry in the first movie and this infuriates umbridge because she sees them as a lower species 11. sybil is the one who made the prophecy about harry and voldemort and dumbledoor is worried that the death eater would try to capture her and torture her for info thats why he doesnt let umbridge dismiss her from the school grounds 12. in the books hemione jinxes the paper the students sign after joining the D.A so that if anyone sniches it will reveal them and its actually Chos friend who sinches because umbridge threatened her mom who works at the ministry in the movie they made it Cho and it was implied that umbridge used the truth potion on her 13. percy weasely rons brother works at the ministry and is currently on bad terms with his family as he refused to believe the ministry was wrong hes actually the one holding cho and harry in the scene in dubledoors office 14. the twins had been pranking umbridge all year at one point they turned a corridor into a swamp and umbridge couldnt get rid of it all the teacher pretended they couldnt either and it stayed there for weeks until they had to take it down but the teachers kept a little bit of it in the corner to remember it by 15. the reason why the weasley products are much more prevalent in this movie is because harry gave his winnings from the tri wizard tournament to fred and george after cedrics family refused it this lead to them being able to fund there products and make more 16. JK rowling realized her mistake with the time turners and actually made it so they were all destroyed during the battle in the ministry 17. the reason sirius called harry james is because he reminded him so much of james and he got them mixed up also in the book sirius is hit with a stupify spell not the killing curse but he falls into the archway which is a gateway to the land of the dead and thats why he dies its also why only harry and luna can hear the voices the archway is like the thestrals you have to have seen someone die to hear the voices

Something to think about. Only two people have left Harry with a permanent scar. Voldemort and Umbridge

We’ve all grown up watching Harry Potter movies, and now’s the time for Rebecca to come out and shine and give us her best commentary of this film. I swear, the Harry Potter film franchise has gotten extensive recognition all across the globe, and we can all see why.

Snape's flashbacks put into perspective that scene in Prisoner of Azkaban where he has to face his bullies. A simple detail but quite effective.

Sirius decking Malfoy is such a boss move. Guy deserves it so much.

5:55 they don't explain it very well, but essentially Voldemort and Harry are telepathically linked. Harry can see into Voldemorts mind, and vice versa. Can you now see why Dumbledore wouldn't want to tell Harry something?

Book detail left out of the movie explains why Hermione had them sign their names on the paper: If anyone had ratted them out, the snitch would've broken out in boils that spelled "sneak" across their face.

Also HBC as Bellatrix is just absolute perfection. Every time she's on the screen I just 🦋😍😭🙌🏼🥺😃😍🥲

The really heartbreaking thing about Harry's scream when Sirius died is that Daniel Radcliffe is actually screaming, and it was so devastating for the cast to hear, they muted it because they thought it would be too much for the audience.

So Tom didn't quit, in the books this battle was very one-sided. Dumbledore was basically whooping his ass. The chapter itself was called "The only one he ever feared". Their spells were so powerful harry felt his bones shake. Voldemort basically confirmed he was no match and ran away.

Girl the Weasleys are actually pretty poor, Mr. Weasley hadn't used muggle transport cause he's a wizard and apparates everywhere.

It took me so long to realize (like 17 rewatched of this movie and a A TON of reactions) to finally realize when Harry tells snape “he’s got padfoot at the place where it’s hidden” snape tells the order and that’s why they show up and save everyone

“Did he just refer to Harry like that because he can?” Sirius was absolute BEST friend’s with Harry’s dad, James (which is also Harry’s middle name), and during the fight with Lucius he got flashbacks to the first war when he was fighting by James’ side and now he’s fighting with Harry who is a spitting image of his father

In the book umbridge is the reason the dementors attacked harry. Also umbridge is genuinely my favourite character.

It still baffles me that the movies didn't ever explain what actually happened with the dementors in the beginning. It was in fact Umbridge who sent them in an attempt to discredit Harry

This one is one of my favorite of the movies because one it's the start of the war beginning and because my favorite character is introducing (Tonks) and when sirus died was just in pure shock and then I cried like that was not expected like why he have to die 💔 p.s I wouldn't to attached to characters anymore I not gonna say anything else bur don't get attached it just ends in heartbreak So fun facts about the order of the Phoenix Tonks had way more lines then what she has for the rest of the series they could of easily put another one of her line from the book Daniel Rafficlifs cries were so real that is mad Emma Watson and Helena cry Before sirus had died Bellatrix was dueling Tonks but she hurt tonks really bad and got away and them killed sirus and many people think that tonks felt horrible and I think she would of be really upset is because sirus is her only family memeber that doesn't hate her guts for existenceing but most of her depression can from Remus which is explained in the 6th book it doesn't show it at all what happened in the 6th movie the 6th movie I think is the farthest from the book so many things where left out Sirus and Tonks are related there 2nd cousin her mother is Andremonda which is sirus first cousins and Andremonda had two sisters Narssica and Bellatrix Narssica is Draco mother so tonks and Draco are first cousins you could also call the like the and sirus, Regulus (Sirus younger brother )Narssica,Andremonda ,Bellatrix where all apart of the black family who were really big on blood status and hated mudbloods more than half bloods expect Andremonda and Sirus and Andremonda was disowned by her family because she married a muggle born like Hermione and both her sister mostly Bellatrix despise her and Bellatrix has target for tonks and tonks is the only half blood on the black family tree and her family hate sher for existenceing and this is definitely not the last time Bellatrix will try and kill tonks Draco doesn't even know about Tonks and Sirus being related to him I think eventually I might of picesed it together And Dobby was in also in every single book after the 2nd one where he was first introduced but in the movies was brought back in the last two movies And ginny was so strong and independent in the books and didn't need anyone not that she wanst on the movies but they didn't really show that at all The movies really just messed up Tonks and Ginny characters they where both badas in the books not that the aren't and the really screwed tonks over and made her a side character and ginny less of a baddie and independent and tonks had many badas lines in the books that could.of easily been fit in the movies and tonks had a bunch more moment with the kids and the actor even said she was excited to work with the kids but half of her crap was cut and they totally like blind sighted the friendship between Hermione,Ginny,and tonks Hermione and ginny literlly adored Tonks

Considering how much had to be left out, because this is the longest book but the shortest movie, it's actually one of the best adaptations. I actually think this screenwriter did a better job than Steve Kloves who wrote all of the other screenplays. Poor Harry is dealing with so much in this one. PTSD, everyone calling him a liar, being tortured by Umbridge, Voldemort running around in his head, being kept in the dark and teenage hormones all mixed together.

Before October is over you should watch _Bram Stoker's Dracula_ (1992), if you've never seen it. Gary Oldman's performance as the Count is riveting, and the rest of the A-list cast is also extraordinary, though Keanu Reeves's attempt at a London accent is extraordinary for all the wrong reasons.

Love this series!

The trouble with this movie, other than Umbridge, who represents every toxic matronly aspect a Brit can endure, is that a lot of the actual story is altered and shortened, and so motivations of characters are not set up properly, because those scenes in the book just aren't there. Also the confusion is on purpose, because of revelations in the future features that are not to be revealed until then. The time before a war starts is always a murky and unkowing time, and who is on what side is still to be determined.

I was reading the last book in this series when this movie came out, this movie still has the best wizard duel in all of cinema history! Nothing compares, ever, to Vondelmort verses Dumbledore! I never liked how much the movies leave out. I had no idea why so many people were afraid to say Voldamort's name until long after the Fantastic Beasts movies came out. They don't explain that in Fantastic Beasts, I was just using them to explain how long it took me to figure it out because I still haven't read the books. Some day I do plan to read them, but now I'm a little intimidated to start reading all of those.

Shortest movie for the longest nivel, LOL. Half of the novel isn't in the movie... Dumbledore actually comes from the verb To Dumble which means make to lot of noise, like a bumblebee... The Italian version mistakenly translated the name as Silencio which obviously means the opposite. Umbridge is the most hated character of the franchise, evenmore than Voldemort because she represents ordinary, day to day evil that we all experienced at least once in our lives... The teachers were compleicit with the twins to taunt and troll Umbridge for a whole season ! If you wish her to suffer, you better read the book, subtle hints are given to tell you what exactly the Centaurs did to her (check out your Greek Mythology) Dumbledore admitted to Harry that with great intelligence also came less mistakes but the mistakes he made were subsequently much bigger...

they dont show it enough but the whole book harry has so much anger and feels isolated partly bc dumballdoor is staying away from him bc voldy can see in his mind and part bc voldy is in his mind making him feel more alone and angry

Something that always bothered me is that no one thought to point out to Umbridge that, even if Voldemort isn't back, he had supporters. That there are other evil wizards and witches. I mean wasn't it peaceful between Grindelwauld and Moldy Shorts? Shouldn't we be prepared in that situation?

Dolores Umbridge is maybe not a "favourite" character, but she is definitely one of the most interesting ones, in the books and in the movies. Imelda Staunton really understood the role.
