I stopped watching this show twice during the first 3 episodes because I couldn't handle all the chaos, yelling, and anxiety. So many people urged me to stick with it and I'm so glad I did. Enjoying your reactions!
i worked in restaurants from the ages of 13 to 23 and this show is like a documentary how it was from the corner ethnic and hood restaurants to the 5 star restaurants on the Beach's of Key West to Jacksonville lol
its hilarious how hesitant you were to say you like it but i'm glad you do! yes the anxiety, the thrill, the constant excitement of the show definitely takes getting used to. and yes we also love Sydney in this house! Theres so much good to come i'm so excited
In addition, there are some arguing that one or two of the episodes in Season 2 might be the best single TV episode of all time. But you definitely need Season 1 to set it all up. @@mauricecupido3325
Such a great show! Every episode is like a session of therapy. You start off hating basically all the characters and then you begin rooting for them as they gradually come together and improve themselves. It’s just so fulfilling on top of being an exhilarating watch.
Yeah it definitely feels like a Safdie Brothers movie with how chaotic and stressful everything is, even coming down to the details of being able to listen to the conversations going on in the background. But it also does feel a bit like Scorsese in some ways (The Safdies have stated that Good Time was heavily inspired by After Hours, after all), like with the pop music playing, but I mainly think of his style with the "you should be dead" line being said without seeing Joel McHale's character say it. It's a lot like Travis Bickle where you don't know if it was actually said out loud to the main character or if it's in their head. Every chaotic scene in the kitchen is similar to the final act of Goodfellas where Henry's going crazy and seeing helicopters, minus the narration. Glad to see that you're enjoying the show. Let it rip
You were thinking of the Safdie brothers. Every character in this show is excellent. And they feel like real people. They all grow on you. Some are like a fungus, but they all grow on you.
Jimmy was me…. I HATED Tina with a passion until she came around . She was too disrespectful to Syd😂 I swear every time I saw her on screen in the beginning I would roll my eyes so hard 😂😂😂
Phenomenal show. Fast-paced, focused, great acting, short enough but packed with entertainment episodes (and seasons, none of that 24 episodes procedural crap with only 2-3 story important), clever snappy writing, but still believable characters. Also, cousin Richie (fking Richard Jeremovic) is the GOAT.
Thank you. I try not to watch reactions without seeing the content. This show was so good I couldn't stop watching it. FIrst season was 100% on RT and some a*shole made it 99% for season 2.
Why Didn't you Finish Justified City Primevil? or did it just not get posted? ...and get ready The bear has the best back to back episodes of TV I have seen in season 2. You are in for a great ride.
