Yeah! And they barely zoomed in on them. All I know is that there were just a bunch of old documents. Didn't say what they were about nor did they share any random tidbits about them.
A pretty cool thing to find, archived by a video that would have been even cooler if it had actually shown what was inside and discussed items. What was the book (for example)?
I am not sure why people complain about everything that is provided for them at the touch of a finger-like magic, usually for free, but thank you so much for sharing. I hope to discover what all of the literature is!
What were you expecting, a Gone With the Wind prequel script? A fortune? Our ancestors weren't spoiled with insatiable consumption. They focused on people and their stories, as this capsule reflects.
That lady taking the items out of the box acted like she owned them . At the end of the video, someone had their hand out to receive the book as to the way she was looking, she was probably thinking, forget it
I collect antiquarian books and manuscripts and regularly view special collections at large libraries. I've never been asked to wear gloves. Per the Smithsonian Library (and hundreds of others), clean dry hands and NOT white gloves should be used when handling antiquarian books and documents. Gloves interfere with the dexterity and tactility of your fingers, making it easier to tear a page. Fibers in the gloves can get caught in tiny tears in the edges of the paper and cotton gloves can lift ink from the page. Photographs are an exception, you should wear gloves when handling them.
We have time capsules too back in 2009 we burried a strong waterproof box at a local park here in india , the box is full of floral underwears , orange scented condoms , playboy magazine, old nokia phone , a broken PSP , and a 1st ed blue eyes white dragon yugioh card ...
What kind of time capsule was that? Newspapers! The girl looked so miserable, when the guy reached out his hand to take the book, it looked like she was mad and went into a trance, and wouldn't hand him the book! Weird
My grandpa is Franklin Earl stats and he was a Freemason he's also an inventor once he figured out and realized what it all entailed he left the Masons and then they ruined his life he has also Howard hughes's main inventor the end
Anything worth preserving for hundreds of years is better stored and maintained in a museum. Time capsules aren’t good for preserving really important things unless they’re made of paper.
I cant help but to notice the sheriff trying to wiggle into the pictures. Notice this event has nothing to do with his branch of government, and yet there is a photo of him holding his belt buckle with people around HIM. I'm not saying anything other than chief so and so made sure that the public saw who was "involved" in everything.
Amazing. This video has less than 100,000 views, and a guy opening his personal time capsule from 1976 has over 4,000,000 views! Come on people, try to realize the things that are more important. Lol
Would have been nice if she didn't talk through it and let us hear what they say are in it and actually show us what's in it. Instead, we are just told it's been opened. Nice.
ghost ghost How do you know it’s junk if I’m assuming you haven’t read any of the papers coming out of the box yet? Even if they weren’t informative it could be a really good book, or unique article from the papers. The video hadn’t done a good job explaining the contents so I can see how you could say that but we don’t know enough from this to say if it is junk or not.
The Saturn Life I’m sorry you feel that way but honestly I’d be excited to read those Clips because I find human history fascinating. Also a rare or unique book that no one alive has read yet would also be something worth showing up to for me, but I guess I’m just seeing the glass half full...
