Absolutely stellar work man. The transitions and details in shots, to the depth given in information, it’s all top notch. Video after video, your content is a bad influence on my wallet 😂
I mean getting my hands on a ULX is going to be really challenging, regardless of the fact that they’re going to keep producing this. I run a starlight as my daily driver, i’m pretty content with that for now.
Hearing that these willbe readily available is such a game changer, I've always wanted a FinalMouse but never wanted to spend the scalpers price on them for something so limited. On top of that having the web UI for customization means it can be used on other operating systems like Linux and MacOS. Super stoked.
That intro was the best thing you have ever produced on this channel, my god. I got bricked up instantly when you said air58 shape. i may actually grab a medium AND large of this one. QC aside, they havent let me down yet. Also loving the wallpapers ive been in wallpaper hell for months now so glad to have something I actually like
I still really love my FinalMouse Tenz, and would prefer the magnesium shell over the carbon (I just like the feel of it)...but I am curious about the new tech inside the ULX. FinalMouse, how about introducing modules where your valuable dedicated FinalMouse customers can updagrade the internals of their already very pricey mice they paid you lots of money for. Would save on waste, and you would see a lot of us jump on board to upgrade the internals. Everyone wins!
8 months later, still no continuous production 😅. I ended up getting a Wlmouse. You should review one (specifically the Beast X Max). I ordered mine not too long ago, people seem to actually prefer the max to the ulx tiger. It's a clone, to be sure, but at something like 42 grams, I sincerely doubt anyone is going to notice a real world difference of a few grams
They sent me a brand new air58 after my scroll wheel broke. They just requested I take photos for proof. They requested I wrote my order number in PERMANENT marker on the mouse, I said fuck that and used Expo, took the photo, and wiped it off. Easy. Ended up finding a replacement scroll wheel online and replacing it myself AND got the free one. Can't complain. But I do understand their QC is not great.
to be honest it can be as good as it wants...that price for a mouse is insane. These companies are taking their customers to the cleaners. I'd love to see the profit margin per unit. I bet its eye-watering.
The G Pro X Superlight is $120, and the G Pro X Superlight 2 is $160 and both are almost double in weight and one is only $30 less and is made of plastic, the ULX is a steal in comparison to almost everything else on the market. Especially the viper mini signature.
I'm sure the margins are good for Finalmouse on this one but considering you get an 8k polling rate and carbon fiber shell this is way better value than the GPX2. To be honest, with Logitechs pricing that really feels like a scam lol.
I've rewatched this video through all three name changes. All jokes aside, I'm pretty excited for this mouse. I've been maining the GPX and DAV3 for years but very recently discovered the Pulsefire Haste Wireless. Did not expect a mouse that I spent $37 on to become my main. The ULX feels like a more premium version of that mouse.
i have the wires pulse fire haste but the cable keeps disconnecting randomly 😭😭😭 apparently it’s across all wired pulse fire hastes 😭😭shoulda got wireless
I do hope they allow for custom DPI. 1000 is the sweet spot for me from desktop to gaming. I know you can convert it but it just doesn’t feel right in character screens or menu’s when up your not moving around in game.
I assume you have larger hands; I am 6'2" and the Logitech Superlight is just ever so slightly too small for me, do you think the Large is going to be the game changer? Looking to order once the full-size drop hits as I have modded two GPXS and cannot get them to feel perfect.
Good stuff. This will be the first finalmouse I own since maybe their very first and it looks like I might have picked the right time to try it out again.
2:55 So you still use the Saturn Pro pad? Just curious, because I'm in the market for a new mousepad and it's been a hot minute since you did a mousepad video, lol. I just picked up a Logitech G Pro Wireless and it just feels weird using a Logitech mouse with the Razer mousepad that I had from when I was using a Death Adder, haha.
To clarify, it looks like there's only 5 preset DPIs to pick from? You can't pick your own just yet. Correct? If so, that needs changed ASAP, cause people will be so mad when they get their mice in and have to go through every game and change their DPI for a new mouse
@@badseedtechGood to know. I actually didn't know that and I'm hoping that they have that fixed by the time the Large drop comes in December or I might be hesitant to get one. The biggest thing for me would be using it with Windows too, since I have an Ultrawide
Thank you for not jumping on the hate bandwagon. 90% of what people crap on them for is blown way out of proportion. I have owned 7 total starlights and had zero issues. Yes the scroll was slightly off centered on 2, but it still looked and performed great. There was scroll ghosting but that got fixed with a firmware update. The ransom scroll inputs were the only issue that almost brought me back to the RVU. After that firmware update though, the SL12 is easily my favorite mouse. At least until tomorrow when my ULX gets here. That is, if there isnt issues. After all of the innovations and the good things they have done, they get nothing but hate.
some things yes some no i love the mice as well and have continued to buy them as they create new ones but some problems are quality ive had mice that have had problems my starlight 12 wont even go into DFU mode to update (yes ive done the steps correctly), shipping times are crazy dont care the reason they are very long, price is insane they are expensive especially if u dont live in us in australia there like 400 bux, no software for a mouse that costs this much is unacceptable, and limited production is unhealthy bots use to buy them all its better now but if your not there the second it released u werent getting one. but the mice are good but there are some criticisms they deserve ps also had some other build quality issues but ceebs typing it.
Why don't more mouse companies extend the wall of the mouse next to the clicks and shorten the width of the click so the wall shields your fingers from getting jammed in the clicks.
What a review! I will definitely get this mouse after your review but im not sure what size. I have 18x9.5 hands and i palm/aggressive claw i like to have palm contact, could you help me with that?
Just a few days I was tidying up my storage shelf and I came across my Final Mouse Ultralight Cape Town and stopped to get a feel of it again and man that mouse was incredible. This was the only Final Mouse I ever had and I replaced it for a Logitech Superlight a few years ago because I wanted to get a wireless mouse and in direct comparasion the Final Mouse is leagues better. And now I get recommneded this video about not only a new Final Mouse (Mouse?) but one that is a continiuous production. No longer this "Limited Drop"-BS. The price is a bit steep, but I think I'll get one nontheless, I am itching to get back to Final Mouse. I wasn't a big fan of those previous versions with the fancy pattern etching stuff and I am glad they toned that down a bit.
I honestly hope when they mean about "Endgame" with their upcoming ULX Competition line up, is that they are no longer gonna be out of stock. Then again this video did mention that and it was 11 months ago.
Man... If this had wireless charging, I'd be over the moon with this thing... I love that the software is just available on their website, and I think it's also open source. I despise Logitech G Hub, but... I can't get myself to switch out from the Superlight... I've gotten way too comfortable at the end of the day throwing the mouse onto wireless charging dock. If they ever decide to update this model with wireless dock, I'll be sold.
Now that you have some time in, can you share your battery life and charge frequency for the mouse? I purchased a ULX myself but I doubt I'll be seeing it anytime soon given that I am in Canada. I was just mainly curious about their Battery life claim as it is quite insane compared tothe industry average.
5:25 Does this apply to the small size as well? I remember seeing Finalmouse tweeting about people that bought the Medium would get a set of grips for free for the unexpected shipping delay, but I'm wondering about if the future drops get some grips as well.
Coating is solid. Grippier paint process than the Starlights. Still prefer it w the side grips though. They can get a little slick but the triggers are a1
what is the point of these mice? they're impossible to buy without spending 3x the price or unless they're old/used. I really want one but never in stock as usual.
Should i go with the large option? I currently main a viper v2 pro, fingertip. Also anyone knows which aftermarket skates will fit? are they the same as starlight 12?
I'm rocking a MZ1 and Viper SE, but I used to beat the fuck out of my Air58 in Siege till the wheel broke. So I guessing I'm buying this thing too lol.
Given the current situation can they REALLY achieve continuous availability? I like the mice, but I haven’t had a positive experience with the company so far. Quite the opposite actually, no matter how many times I’ve attempted to order or use their products. That all being said, I still hope they can reach this goal they’re setting.
I'm late to the party on this one. I stopped following Finalmouse because I couldn't ever get my hands on a mouse do to the drops but I'm happy I'll eventually get my hands on one of these!
Shout out Sijourney Beaver 😅 great job on this tho man, clearly you delaying the vid panned out for the better 👍 also, glad they included super thin grips. The old ones ruined the look and feel
Just got mine after playing the side-grade game (Stormbreaker, Thorn 4K, custom GPX) and it's really fantastic. Though I really like the Stormbreaker for what it is, my copy of the ULX has stellar build quality. Still annoyed they don't let you remap the side buttons but for the performance I can deal with that.
As a note, with your 4Khz testing, was that with MotionSync enabled? I found I had to recharge once a day on the Stormbreaker/Thorn with MotionSync on - even at 1Khz.
This mouse looks epic. I just got a TenZ small and I love the shape. Wondering If the click are as light as the superlight. Also good video I really enjoyed It. Keep up the good work
I wanted that mice but could not find in stock any near Sweden, for a weeks ago I got ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition but I can not find click latency on this mice I just got it becuze stock price is about 180 EURO and I got it for 60 EURO.
Bro I love web-based software. Just bought the Superlight 2 and have found its interaction with G hub to be horrid with myself having to delete it and redownload it. Getting the large ULX since I have quite large hands.
