That dude did good against Tony. His flaw was turning it over so many times trying to pass from 3 to 5. He scored great and passed great otherwise. Tony has no weaknesses. Great match!

Tony is such a nice guy! I hope he remembers me, late night in PA, at the hotel. We chatted and of course I went back the next day to watch him play. I still got the pics we took together. My ex bf was being a super jerk. But Tony and I we hit it off, chatting and it was cool to watch him play. I was in PA to see the Death Punch concert that same day....

Just curious, Is it hard for Tony to do his far wall tic tac series on the Leonhart table? Its just odd to me watching him work a near wall brush series. I don't know anything about how the Leonhart tables play.
@jeremybr2020
@jeremybr2020 4 года назад
I can't say personally because I've never played on a Leonhart table either. But when it comes to Tony's famous tic tac far wall passing, it is so much about timing and Tony's reflexes/muscle memory. And any change, even if its very small, will screw up that timing. So that is why Tony will typically not be doing his usual pass on these other tables.
@ilisav
@ilisav 2 года назад
Tic tac series is for Tornado or something like Fireball. Not so effective on Leo, Garlando or other "Euro" tables.
@plunktone4162
@plunktone4162 2 года назад
There are two reasons why: Firstly the player figure has significantly narrower side surface on their feet in comparisson to Tornado, so it's harder to control lateral tic-tac motion without moving the ball forward or backward and you have much more chances to lose it instead of returning it back to comfortable position without losing the speed. Second is the ball, even though Leo's ball is the same weight as Tornado one, it is much softer and really feels like sponge in the connection between the ball->field->player so it has less kinetic energy. This makes you put much more power into your hand to keep that speed, constrict your arm muscles and lose lateral control as a result. Technically it is possible to make even faster tic-tacs on Leo but it brings a lot of risk to lose the ball and energy consumption.

Come on you can't be serious... Overwhelming majority of the world top players are not even professionals in this sport, because they have their ordinary jobs. Tony became a foosball professional (e.g. he has no other job but foosball) accidentally because he got a back injury working as an electrician and receives cash benefits from the government because of it, so he doesn't need to work. Even great Frederic Collignon wasn't a pro because he was working as a customer service manager in the car shop. What millions and sponsors are you talking about?

I find this technique where they just hold the ball and shake rapidly to change it's position at the last sec and score so fucking boring. "Oh, i'm gonna shoot either to the right or to the left, maybe even straight, ooooooooh." Don't know how it's entertaining to watch nor play. i think the rapid shots using angles is much more entertaining. More rapid , more fun. This is the equivalent of finding that broken move in a mortal kombat like game and abusing it to no end. Just takes away the soul of the game.
@alxexp

theyre trying to win not have fun and the people watching just really like the game and find it interesting to watch them play
@gustavomarcondes3908
@gustavomarcondes3908 3 года назад
@@alxexp I don’t disagree with you. They are trying to win, not have fun. I’m no fool to not understand that, but it’s also undeniable that it becomes a one shot contest of who exploits the most broken technique more. They win and that was the objective, but at what cost? An example I can give is smash brothers. Many people play it to win during tournaments, and most play their best and try really hard, but with their own main characters with playstyles and techniques that they like. But then there’s always the tier-whore who spends hours figuring out the tier lists and frame-studies to exploit the characters as much as he can. They won, congrats, but it just leaves a terrible taste in everyone’s mouths. A tasteless match, with no soul at all. Just imagine if every single smash game people only played the same character and used the same techniques. It would be the most boring and annoying shit ever. And that’s how I feel while whatching this match. “Okay, I dominated the ball, now wait for me to set up my arm so I can go left and right to shot when you don’t expect so I score a goal”. Over, and over, and over again... It’s just boring.
@alxexp
@alxexp 3 года назад
Gustavo Marcondes I agree that it’s boring, but the people who watch it either grew up with it, or just have a profound interest for Foosball.

Don't like how they are allowed to put their wrist on the handle and halfway spin it to get a harder hit. When i was young you had to keep your hand on the handle, that's why it's called a "hand"le. In a sport with so many evolved rules, over the past 40 years, allowing this wrist spin move seems a cheap and less skill driven move. Bet I could still beat them though....
@TablesoccerTV
@TablesoccerTV 4 года назад
The topic is really hard discussed everywhere. On one side, it makes it easy start playing tablesoccer on higher level and on the other side, the game will be played more static. Which rule would make sense to improve the game and not to lose the attributes which let tablesoccer grow.
@empmaximus1
@empmaximus1 4 года назад
@@TablesoccerTV Well, it's just my personal opinion. Most rules in sports are in place to remove any kind of gray areas, "cheating" or unskilled type of gameplay. This is my stance with spinning. It's against the rules to spin, but this wrist on rod spinning technique, while semi-controlled, is still a hardcore spin. Hands should always be on the handle when the ball is being controlled, I say. When I was young, we would say the man cannot spin past 360 degree to ensure there was still control. Can people start kicking or kneeing their rods or using their fingers to push the ball around? No. So why does the wrist get to be used. Any kind of spin has NEVER, and NEVER should be considered a skilled technique for this sport. Whatever group has the say to change rules, should reconsider this seriously.
@bryan5143
@bryan5143 4 года назад
The rules of spinning are that the rod can not rotate 360 degrees past the point of contact that made the ball progress forward. They are not spinning the ball by the definition of the rule.
@bryan5143
@bryan5143 4 года назад
Per ITSF Spinning of the rods is illegal. Spinning is defined as the rotation of any soccer figure more than 360 degrees before or more than 360° after striking the ball.
@bryan5143
@bryan5143 4 года назад
And I know a lot of top players with shoulder and arm issues due to the sheer torque of a fast pull shot, in some respects a snake shot is not a single one direction motion, and will not impact tendons and muscles as much as a fast pull. Wrist issues are another story as mine has started to hurt a lot over the last few years.

Any halfway skilled club player beats average Joe 9/10 times.
