Fucking love Finch so damn much I miss tf outta them. I lived in San Diego for 6 months in 2008 and had the chance to see them right after they got back together the first time but never made it and will always regret that. Phantasma is an amazing album, if you haven't heard it search it on youtube it's the unreleased unfinished demos of the absolute final album they were working on in 2015 before the final split. Siren Song and how it leads into In Ruins gave me those nostaligic 02-05 Finch feels for sure. It really could have been one of their best, even the raw demos are incredible

@@bon2yan88 Nate is a fantastic writer/vocalist one of my favorites. But ask yourself this, all the bands Nate has been part of. How come none of them last? One common denominator. I thoroughly enjoyed Private Lives.... what happened there? Cosmonaut? Reverend Crow? East bound ghost? Finch?
I grew up in Temecula, California during the Finch years and besides them coming up, nothing happened in that town of 100,000 people. My guess, is they got him because he is still in the area, the band is dead and he wishes it wasn't, made the 50 min drive to SD to relive his glory years. Just my 2 cents.
Daniel Craig, of the world series winning St. Loius Cardinals also came up at that same time, from the high school I attended. Finch was born out of the other high school, TVHS, even though the younger Strohmeyer brother attended mine.
