Find Adventure Close to Home 

Great idea. I've watched a number of your videos, and it struck me that I have been doing "micro" and "semi-micro" adventures for quite a long time; but I never thought of them as "adventures", because they were small---but I was short-changing these experiences. One such adventure took place quite a few years ago when my sone and I took our canoe out to an area lake to camp and canoe, but found the campgrounds closed for renovation. Frustrated, but we set out in the canoes anyway, and had a fantastic time paddling into a densely wooded area with only our headlamps for occasional lighting. The starry sky showing through the Autumn tree branches, and reflecting in the waters around us, was like being in outer space. We still talk about that truncated "adventure" to this very day! We ended up driving all the way back home late at night, but that was definitely a "micro-adventure." Unexpected, but very enjoyable. Thanks for your encouraging videos.

This should be shown on tv like one of those channel 4 shorts, very inspirational video to get out and enjoy what's around you :)

How do you find somewhere to sleep that you won't get killed or mugged?

im very inspired my brother. thanks for encouraging us all to go on adventures. especially those of us trapped in the city. keep up the good work!

This reminded me of the movie 'Logan's Run' Just outside the city was unknown and unspoiled everything, and nobody knew it. Isn't it weird that we as humans pile up in one awful place like that?

Love watching your films Al. You should have your own TVs series! Can't start a fire without a spark! Ha! Love the way you often seem to get a Springsteen reference in! Have you been to any of his concerts?

Awesome concept. My friends and I always feel we have to do something spectacular and thus rarely do anything. We are now planning our own MicroAdventure Bivvy Challenge. Thanks for sharing this!
