Beverly and I grew up next door to each other. I was born Oct.1959 and she Feb.1960. By three years old we were inseparable. We started having more then friendship type feelings toward each other our freshman year. We exchanged promise rings our junior year. We both new it was true love our senior year of highschool. Dec. 21, 1981 I married my Soul Mate, Lover and my Best Friend. Two years later (1983) we had twin girls. Two years after the birth of our twins (1985) my wife was dead. She was on her way home from work when she was hit and killed by a DRUNK DRIVER (he lived). That was over 35 years ago and I still miss her so very much! I never married again. The day before Dad died he told me to go to the 2nd floor of the hospital and bring Mom down to ICU. He wanted to talk to her. I went up and got Mom and pushed her wheelchair into Dads room close to his bed and then, he proceeded to tell her ....Bye. He told her how much he loved her and that she had been the model Christian lady and perfect wife for 62 years. He took her hand in both of his hands and told her...."It looks like I am going to leave here soon....before you. But I will wait just inside the Gate for you so....when you get there....find me." By that time I was a total wreck, as was Tami and the entire nursing staff. I have thought of that last conversation they had many times and it gets no easier even tempered by 6 years of time. And then tonight I find this.

This song is for my sister who just lost her husband from Covid-19. My brother in law is one of the kindest person, we're all devastated after hearing the news. The saddest part is he weren't able to say goodbye to my sister and to his kids from the time he was brought to the ICU(3 weeks in the hospital) to the time my sister was informed the he passed away. We cannot even comfort her physically because of the distance, they're in the US and we're in the Philippines. And so to you Kuya(brother) please do guide my sister and your kids from up there. my mother put this on my Dad's memorial as a theme song. becauase it pretty much defines it. skys are not as enjoyable to watch sunsets aren't as splendorous and football games are not fun to watch anymore, in fact they are quite bland. so are westerns. I used to watch cowyboy movies with my Dad when I visited him at he and mom'ls house. we ate a good breakfast and drank hot coffee and watched old cowboy moves, football in the afternoon. and even when I wasn'lt with my Dad and Mom I watch sunsets and the blue sky. my mother cries hearing this, and quite honeslty I don''t know how to really cry-haven't in 30 years but it does make my eyes blurr up.

Kristine is Kizo's only love but she has a boyfriend already when they met in the hospital where Kristine happens to be the nurse in that hospital,she saw him fighting for his life but he did not make it.. I think she remembers him not only because of his face alone but also because of the ring or whatever remembrance they have each other, Kizo kept it with him but Kristine's remembrance of him kept it away and move on with her life when Kizo didn't bid him goodbye and disappears never to be seen again.. though she never forgets him, She fell inlove with another guy.... This song reminds me of my first LOVE. At first she was just a girl who used to be my classmate in the elementary grades way back in the early 60s. She became a young woman in her high school days.(I was left behind because of financial reasons). During her graduation from high school she gave me these encouranging words "Dont be discouraged of your fate. You are still young and you can catcth up with us in the end" . I hold on to these words but I did not catch up with her. She is now married to another man. So sad for me. . .
