November is Adoption Awareness and Orphan Awareness month. We have spent a lot of time working with and advocating for orphans over the last two years. So each day during November we are sharing a video about 1 child that is still waiting for their family to find them.
Kenny is a four-year-old boy who has been at Bethel for one year. He has low vision. Kenny loves his Bethel caregivers and follows them around all day. They have started giving him special tasks like opening the door, throwing away trash, and carrying objects. He loves to be a little helper! Kenny can walk, run, and jump and likes to hold hands with people.
Kenny has recently started improving so much and is now starting to babble. We hope he’ll be talking soon! He has moved from the baby room to the older children’s preschool class and he likes it! He can sit still at the table and likes to listen to stories. He’s also practicing fine motor skills by playing with play dough and other toys.
